I was super stoked to read this book as I am a huge fan of Fables, Vol. 1: Legends in Exile and The Bard. I was unable to get as wrapped up in this one though. I liked the art and seeing all the familiar characters from Shakespeare's plays, but it just didn't hook me like Fables.
I haven't read Fables but I did read the entire Kill Shakespeare series about 4 years ago now and I never really got too much into them either. I read them because a friend of mine recommended them highly but I forgot to take into account just how much she loves Shakespeare haha. I did read the whole series though so I guess there was was enough mystery to keep me reading. I keep meaning to read the Fables series but my library doesn't have the 1st 3 books so I need to ILL them or go to a nearby library and I get distracted by other readily accessible options.
