I think a little of both applies. She thinks of Maura as a friend so she would want to look out for her but I think Jane is a little judgy judgy as well. I think she would need to be a little judgmental in able to do her job. It requires slip decision making at points with relies on gut instinct....I believe this is a form of judging.
I’m with you, Christina. A little bit of judgment and a lot of concern seemed to be behind Jane’s opinion. Her religious background has to be a factor that now has her mistrusting Daniel, which leads to not trusting him with Maura. Her instincts are screaming at her.
