Fantasy Book Club Series discussion

We are taking a wonderful step into the blueprint for a lot of today's fantasy plots, the wonderful Tolkien Rings series...

First off is The Hobbit.

I was recently reading this to my children, but after the trolls scene, my five year old put his foot down and said it was giving him bad dreams. :_ OK, Maggie, maybe it was too soon? I will have patience, and read it to myself!

Probably wise. If the troll scene did that, imagine (view spoiler)[Thorin's death (hide spoiler)].

I will not be rereading this as I have read it secpveral times, but I have to say, I loved it! Such a great storytelling style, IMO.
