One of Simak's best. Been a long time since I read it. So I'll participate in discussion as my faulty memory will allow.
I read this several years ago and remember loving it. I also love that it's set in Wisconsin, where I'm from.
I started this today as I needed a small break from Declare. A note: Way Station is on sale on Kindle for today.I loved the way that Simak opened the story. You cannot help but be engaged.

I am a fellow Wisconsinite and didn’t know this book is set in our lovely state. I won’t be reading it soon, but now it is more on my radar.
Good to know, thanks!

I checked Wiki, and it said that most of Simak's books are set in Wisconsin and feature a rugged frontiersy-type with a pet dog named Towser. I guess he left the dog out this time to make it feel more lonely. So if you're into Wisconsin fiction, then I guess you can check out more Simak.
