Since October is the month of Halloween I usually like to read more spooky books than usual, so I think a scary or gothic classic could be fun! Perhaps We Have Always Lived in the Castle ?

We have always lived in the castle sounds amazing i'd love to read it.
Also, I thought about reading The Phantom of the Opera.

I love the idea of a spooky one as well. Frankenstein has always intrigued me, but Dracula is also on my list.

Oooh I'm curious about The Haunting of Hill House! I've heard it's being made into a Netflix series this year

It is! I think it's coming out in October. I need to read it before I watch the show
