Casual Readers discussion

I read this book a long time ago and remember that I thoroughly enjoyed the read. My memory isn't like it used to be, so I have decided to re-visit this one. Feel free to add to the discussion or make comments on other books you are reading in the "currently reading" thread.

When reading books that I consider a good read, I am often able to imagine myself as one of the characters. The difficulties a 12-year-old would face attempting to travel across the country alone and without any money brings up a whole range of emotions and fears in me.

This book may even be better than the last time I read it. You pick up on a little more of the details every time you do a re-read. Or at least it seems so for me.
