I haven't read her non-Potter books, but the Harry Potter series is the most amazing thing I've ever read.

I completely agree. I bought The Casual Vacancy, so I'll be reading it soon. I've heard great things about her newer books, so I'll eventually pick them up. I heard she is going to write a bunch of them in that series - way more than the seven Potter books.

I haven't either. The only thing I've seen bad things about was The Casual Vacancy, but I feel like a lot of it was because she made the jump from YA to Adult Fiction. I have it, and I'm looking forward to reading it soon.

I've read The Cuckoo's Calling. I didn't rate it because I wasn't sure, and I still don't know whether it was boring and long or if it was because of all that slang that it felt long (not in the US/UK). I'd like to read The Silkworm. And The Casual Vacancy of course.
I've been himmming and hawing on whether or not to read The Cuckoo's Calling and The Casual Vacancy.

After Harry Potter I'm a bit worried that I may hold Rowling to an unfairly high standard. And I'd also be worried about hating something that may be very good, just because it isn't Harry Potter haha.

I've heard the books under her pen name are better than The Casual Vacancy. They are just so freaking expensive.

It's only in hardcover in the U.S. I don't know about other countries. They usually wait a while to do a second printing of them.

I can't bring myself to read any other of her books besides HP! That series changed my life and I'll never look at the colors red and gold the same way. ;)

I'm going in open-minded, plus I'm at an age where I am definitely enjoying adult fiction more (even though I loved it as a preteen). lol
