Oh by the way please let me add one more thing...no friendly, romantic. helpful or sparkly vampires, please. No protagonists who are vampires, werewolves, were-jackles...or otherwise undead or whatever. PLEASE.
I'd like actual grownup read if possible. No offense to lovers of Throne of Glass or Twilight, just not for me.
Really...thanks.

I've got a new female action protagonist on the way named Joelene Stonehouse. She spent 25 years flying Army attack helicopters in every major action since Gulf War I. Now she's retired from the military with a big fat pension and she's not even 50. What's a woman to do after all that? Well, she makes a bad choice and is now trying to set things straight, while digging herself in deeper and deeper. The novel is called AVANTI, which was her call sign. And along with it comes fast (very fast) cars, explosions, shootouts and no end of meyhem, which is just the way she likes it.
Stay tuned, Joelene Stonehouse and AVANTI will be coming out this Late Fall. Was shooting for Late Summer, but whaddaya gonna do?

Thanks Jim.
I'd also like to see some existing female action protagonists in existing books not necessarily recommended by the authors. Surly there are some good action adventures with female leads I haven't found.

Have you tried D.V. Berkom's Leine Basso or Kate Jones series's? Really like her Basso series a lot, it's on my list to read one of her Jones books and J.F. Penn's Arkane series with Morgan Sierra another good one.
Check out Radical Payment by Mike Parry at inks4life.netVery strong female villain fiction thriller- no vampires, not much on romance but high on the criminal mind and mayhem.
Welcome to check out my books 🤷♀️😬 Alex Hunt is zero tolerance and zero romance. If Lara Croft and Indiana Jones had a baby, she’d be Alex Hunt ! Search for
The Rhapta Key - Book 1
The Gilded Treason - Book 2
(Sorry... replying via the app so can’t link it 😉)
Thanks Urcelia, library doesn't have it so I'll probably need to fimd a paperback (not a fan of Ebooks, LOL).

I personally enjoy paperbacks too! :-) My books are available in both E-book and Paperback formats directly from Amazon, for now. You’re welcome to ask your local library to request it for you but in the meantime, here are the links :-)

Have a look at the Jet series by Russell Blake. There are a few of them in the series and they are quite enjoyable.Jet
Audible has the first 4 Jet books in a one credit bundle so I think I'll get 4 at once from Audible.
