What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

It's a psychological thriller. I remember the three main characters in it though I cannot remember their names. One is a guy who went through a terrible childhood were he broke a girl's legs because she told his crush about his abusive household. Consequently he was sent to some kind of juvenile delinquent institute where he stayed for years until he's freed after which he accidentally runs into the same girl he beat up- who is now terribly traumatized and into drugs- and he takes advantage of her. The third character is another douchebag who he met in the institute for troubled kids- he meets the girl and is convinced that she can fly and at the end of the story chases her up a tree and forces her to jump
