I cannot stand any of the major characters, especially Rob. I find him to be arrogant (even if he pretends not to be) and totally self-centered. His “maturity” as the book progressed is mostly non-existent to me.

Barry is hilarious. If I remember, Jack Black played him in the movie, so I keep picturing him.

As annoying as Rob can be, I think my least favorite character is Laura.

(view spoiler)[I mean, sure Rob acts like a nutjob towards her and gives her no truly redeeming reason to take him back. (In fact, if I was her, I probably would have called the cops on Rob). But, she goes crawling back to Rob in the end giving him some validation that is neurotic behavior was the best way towards resolution. I don't think anyone should be supporting Robs mindset! :) (hide spoiler)]

One thing I know: the characters are definitely British.

Ha, yeah - the scene where they talk about how American Marie is and how someone British would never act that way is funny.

I still like Barry - he makes me laugh! The rest, eh . . . but it was fun to cringe a lot!
