[ enter-talk ] GNM48 TEAM G'S MANAGER HAS THE NOSE OF A GOD...
Posted at 7:32 PM by step on me yoona
Today I was looking for GNM48 pictures from the airport back from Japan but I didn't find what I was looking for ㅜㅜㅜ
But I found something shocking...
One of the fansites had taken a photo of the manager instead ㅋㅋㅋ
Apparently Mika was doing aegyo to Jina and he was laughing at their antics ㅋ"171108 ICN #GNM48 #GNM48TeamG
Mika-yah was messing around with Jina eonni's sleeping
mask and our manager-nim just laughed ㅋㅋ
He must be used to them... really feels like an oppa ㅜㅜ
pic.twitter/420"
— @ICHOOSEU_MKE, 2017 November 8
Apparently his name is Seol Jinseok and he's been working with GNM48 since 2015... Before that he was seen with CGD48 for a while in 2013 but then he enlisted in the military and he was working with GNM48 Team G when he was discharged... I wonder why he didn't go back to CGD48? Did something happen?
Heol... he really is handsome ㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜ
I found these from the backs of old fansite pics...
Even when they give him glitter and bows to tease he wears it... He's 28 years old so he's older than all of them and he really feels like their real oppa ㅜㅜ
Actually when Team G went on Friday Idol and had to play random play dance where if they lost their manager would get splashed with water he was the one to play... Jinseok-ssi you must have suffered a lot ㅋㅋ
Look at Rosie's face though when the hosts poured the bucket of water on him after her mistake in DKDK ㅋㅋ
The hosts asked him what he felt and he said that they'd be getting a lecture in the van... but he was laughing a little bit too ㅋ
They said he is their tsundere manager oppa but despite his visual he is really good at curling their hair and they know he thinks their jokes are funny even though he says they're not ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Really... if these are the visuals of 48 managers... I think I need managing ㅜㅜㅜ

❝ KIM TAEYONG : TWENTY-FOUR + ACTOR + CGD48 GRADUATE + (view spoiler)
Taeyong was once the golden boy of 48G. He was the male ace for the first generation, the leader of team G, a main dancer, a visual, and had been ranked 1 for three elections. He had it all, and the public loved him because he was still humble and appreciative of everything his fans had given him. At least, up until he had to have knee surgery for the first time. Then had it again two months later because he hadn't let himself properly heal. It wasn't too bad of an issue; the doctors said that he can go back to dancing after proper rest. The thing is, the time had come where Taeyong yearned to graduate, yearned to do more than be a singer.
The problem is, who would want to see their favorite member and the golden boy leave in the highest peak of their success? Nobody. Taeyong would post on social media, hinting that he was getting older and tired, and he'd have to graduate at some point. The next election came around, and he was still ranked pretty high. That's when he became desperate and twisted the truth of his condition to let fans prioritize his health. The company's officials got word of this, and rather than waiting for the next election, Taeyong terminated his contract with the company and officially left 48G in 2017.
Post-48G, he's not doing as well as he hoped. He made the decision to try acting, signing with a small company that worked mostly with actors, but he hasn't had any major role. He's had a few CFs and has been a guest on dramas and movies, but Taeyong has yet to have his 'big break'. He's also lost a lot of his fans Post-48G, because a majority of them called him selfish for wanting to leave and now he has to build his fanbase back up. So, it's needless to say that the former golden boy is now at the bottom again.

Mina is an impulsive person, that much is known if one
were to follow up on her fansite and other forms of social
media. She dropped out of middle school at 14 because
she felt that she wouldn't have a successful future and she
wanted to dedicate herself to the 48G, and GNM48
especially. Her parents didn't talk her out of her decisions,
though that was to be expected because they don't pay
much attention to what Mina does at all. She doesn't
realize that she made a mistake to throw her life away, and
nobody has bothered to tell her. She considers running a
fansite to be a serious profession, and doesn't worry about
the fact that her only source of income is a trust fund from
her rich grandmother, and she's living in a small apartment
with bad light fixtures and she's afraid of the dark.

Age 25

A name is something that holds meaning: 健,
CGD48 Team C
ken, healthy, and 児, ji. Child. To his parents
in Ōsaka, Nitta Kenji is a miracle child. Born prematurely with neonatal respiratory distress syndrome, his prognosis was grim, and the name bestowed upon him was something like a prayer. And maybe it was answered, bec-ause no one would be able to recognize Nitta Kenji anymore for anything except the int-ernationally recognized dancer of CGD48 fame that he has become.
For any Japanese idol to debut under a group in Korea is brave, and the decision to inclu-de a foreigner in the inaugural lineup of CGD48's Team C was met with more than a little scrutiny, particularly when taking into consideration that a separate, internationally-cent-ered team would also make their debut. The decision wasn't for nothing. Nitta Kenji is c-onsidered by some to be something of a genius when it comes to dancing, and his chore-ographies are still used by GNM48 and CGD48 even after his graduation. At no point al-ong the way was it easy, and there were times when Kenji wished that he hadn't accept-ed the company's proposal and instead debuted as a member of Team 48 with members who looked and talked like him. Whatever hate the more popular members of the group received, he was met with more, and all he could do was just smile through it all, because anything else could — and would — be spun into a controversy. It was his skill in speaking Korean, Mandarin, and English in addition to Japanese which helped boost Team C to the next level of international popularity, and though he was never considered an ace while promoting in Korea, he was met with strong positive responses from other parts of Asia. Perhaps inevitably a day came when Kenji realized that his thoughts were coming first in Korean, though he would swear on his life that such a thing would never happen, and the next day he went to the company offices to request his graduation. He was supposed to come to Korea to represent Japan, not to leave his homeland behind. Though his Korean activities are still managed by 48 Entertainment, and he still spends at least half of the y-ear either in Korea or elsewhere overseas, his heart has finally come home, and the child from Ōsaka finally feels healthy.
OH JOOHYUK

27. MANAGER FOR CGD48 TEAM D.
It's not normal to see a manager with dyed hair, it really isn't. Sure, there's been managers that look good and therefore are confused for being idols. But nobody could possibly be stupid enough to dye their hair as a joke after being confused for an idol, right?
Yeah, Joohyuk is pretty stupid.
It really was a harmless joke, and now his hair is ruined and he's most likely going bald. That and the fact that the only reason why he became a manager is because his girlfriend was a trainee and then broke up with him a month after she got the job (which is something he's never told anyone) is why Joohyuk is such a bitter old man. Team D isn't necessarily a difficult group to deal with, but he gets easily ticked off by certain things and can easily become a tsundere character for his twelve somewhat-tolerable idiots.

JEONG JIYOUNGtwenty-eight
gnm48 team gsoloist
(view spoiler)
ONCE UPON A TIME, Jeong Jiyoung was a star among idols. The senior who all the roo-kies listed as their inspiration. As the original main vocalist of GNM48's Team C, Jiyoung was widely popular for her powerful voice and sweet visuals. And then the unthinkable happened: her own teammate branded her and the other members of Team C as bullies for her personal gain. She begged the company to defend her, to clear her name, to save her career when she'd done nothing wrong. And they told her not to worry, only for her SNS to be flooded with hate messages and a petition for her to have a "dishonorable gra-duation" from the group. She stopped getting the lovecalls. Fans stopped cheering her n-ame. And even thick-skinned people have a limit, and as she watched her teammates gr-adually give up, she finally made her decision to graduate from the group.
She still has her dignity. Every step of the way, Jiyoung has kept her head held high. After terminating her contract with the agency upon her graduation, she returned to school to finish her degree. She found a small entertainment agency desperate enough to sign with a so-called hopeless case like her. Her solo debut in 2015 was not particularly well recei-ved, but she's managed to build up a decent career again with appearances on singing s-hows and OSTs for popular dramas and movies. It's a work in progress, and it will most li-kely continue to be for a long time, but Jiyoung can take it. If she was going to give up on her dreams, she would've given up a long, long time ago. What's the point of having a vo-ice if you aren't going to use it?

E u n - b y u l ━━━━ Traitor? Victim? 22? Graduated Team G? Actress? Liar? Bully?
Anyone who knows who GNM48 are knows who Seo Eunbyul is. Whether you know her as the poor maknae who was bullied by her so-called eonnis, or as the girl who killed the Team G's first generation, the question remains: Who was telling the truth?
Known evidence points to Seo Eunbyul. But of course it does, because she spent months planning to make her exit from the group. She didn't like being in the group, she wanted to become an actress, the company disagreed because a group can't be without maknae. And, of course, there were more things, like her lack of lines, the way she seemed to be overshadowed on every variety show they went on, and — really, if we're being honest, doesn't it say something that it was so easy to convince people? In the end, everyone got what they wanted: Eunbyul became an actress, and the others didn't need to work with Eunbyul anymore. As far as she's concerned, she's winning.

────────────[ NAM JISOO ]────────────
twenty-three & understudy & (view spoiler)
Sometimes, Jisoo thinks the world would be a better place without him. He's always been a burden – his biological father left the picture before Jisoo was old enough to walk, and his mother struggled to work and care for a baby. Then, when Jisoo was five, she remarried, and while Jisoo and his step-father get along well... he and his step-grandmother do not. She accuses him of being a burden, a problem, of being the unwanted and unhelpful oldest child. No doubt she was delighted when he left to become a trainee.
But dear old step-gran underestimated Jisoo's stubbornness and wilfulness. He may be a burden, the world may very well become a better place when he leaves it, but too damn bad, because he likes it here and he has no intentions of going anywhere soon.
In the meantime, Jisoo would greatly appreciate it if the company could, at the very least, give him a few chances to appear on stage. Debuting might be asking a little too much of them. And while it's easy enough to joke about seizing the means of production and staging a Communist revolution when he's with friends, Jisoo isn't brave enough to ever actually speak out against the company. He's already tried that once, and look how well that turned out.

┗ Up until Daeho decided to take an internship at the same company he was denied from joining, his life had been pretty uneventful. After graduating from high school — an elite private school where a majority of the graduates attended ivy league schools — Daeho lost touch with a lot of his friends because they left to study abroad. Since he was a child, he had dreamed of becoming an idol, and so his parents hired a vocal trainer and choreographer so that he could prepare to audition for 48 Entertainment.
He failed. Still barely holding on to his pride, Daeho took up smaller jobs, unsure of what he wanted to do with his future. He wanted to stay in Seoul because that's where his parents live, but he also knew he wouldn't get anywhere in life without a college degree. One day, he was contacted by officials from 48 Entertainment, and for a few minutes, Daeho was convinced that his time had come and the company was reconsidering having denied him.
Turns out they were only offering him an internship. Nonetheless, he accepted the offer. Fast forward a year and he's still going on coffee and lunch runs with no signs of being given a better job. At least he gets to befriend the idols, and then rub it in his former-friends' faces that he's friends with idols.
10 FACTS ABOUT 48ENT'S MOST POPULAR SONGWRITER/PRODUCER YOU PROBABLY DIDN'T KNOW 19 Sept. 2018
One. His name is Yang Seungmin, he's twenty-six, and he was part of CGD48's Team C until he graduated two years ago, going out at the top of his game — ranked fourth overall in the yearly election.
Two. His popularity doesn't come from his work — although he did assist with the production of Energetic, and wrote some of Now or Never — but from his online presence. Prior to graduation, Seungmin posted dance practice videos on YouTube and regularly updated both his Instagram and Twitter. Now, he posts covers of songs, videos of his work and, occasionally, self-composed bits and pieces on his YouTube. Twitter is full of promos for "his boys" (aka Team C). Unfortunately, after graduating he deleted his old Instagram and made a new one, privately, but an anonymous source says it's mostly just "aesthetic" pictures of musical "stuff".
Three. He actually still has a handful of fansites! Some of them have mentioned that they believe he'll make a solo debut (although they were brutally shut down on Twitter)

no im not gonna make a solo debut lemme pursue my dream of not always being famous it's not fun

45 Comments 3 Retweets 15 LikesFour. Originally, Seungmin was supposed to debut in Team 48, because of his English fluency, however the decision was made to move him to Team C and replace him with members fluent in more languages. But since then, Seungmin has proved that he's at least moderately competent at Japanese.
Five. Speaking of English, Seungmin was actually born in America. He moved to Korea when he was eighteen to begin training under 48Ent, and his parents still live in America.
Six. A number of his songs were turned down for being "too personal" and "unsuitable for larger audiences". What's implied here? We're not sure. An anonymous member of the news team suggested that the lyrics could be discussing something of a less than heteroromantic nature, and this could be entirely possible given that it is a well-known fact that Seungmin has always remained intentionally vague about his preference of significant other ("someone who appreciates my music style").
Seven. There is a theory that Seungmin has some sort of serious medical issue because he graduated when he was rank #4, but most people believe it was because of his age. He was replaced by [name], so it's conceivable that the company thought it was time to replace him with a younger, more consistently popular member.
Eight. He hasn't been home since he came to Korea eight years ago[Removed for privacy reasons]
Nine. He sprained his ankle a week before the first Love Me Right performance but performed anyway. "The doctor hates me now," he tweeted out a few days later, without any context, but we're guessing this is what he was referring to.

TWENTY-SIX
EX-CGD48
SINGER-SONGWRITER
MOST people don't remember that the chart-topping ballad singer and songwriter Shim Wooseong was once a member of CGD48's Team G. It isn't exactly a fact that Wooseong advertises. His time on the team wasn't anything glamorous: he never ranked above #35, and though he had a fair amount lines as the main vocalist, he never seemed to actually get a chance to be in the center while he was singing. He gained a small number of fans from posting covers online, but it wasn't until his performance of a classic rock ballad on Forever Songs 2 that he gained any public recognition. After that, his covers became more popular, and he began releasing his original songs as well, though his rank continued to stay the same. Eventually he chose to leave the group and company in pursuit of a solo, non-idol singer-songwriter career,
Since his solo debut in 2014, Wooseong has consistently risen in popularity through his songs and his appearances on multiple singing programs. With a fanbase across all ages, he continues to break his own previous records with every release, and, well, if his next full-length album release happens to coincide with the release of the new 48G singles... well, he has confidence now, which is more than he can say about when he was in CGD48.

If one were to ever have... the pleasure of meeting Hong Youngjae, they'd find out that he's 1) unapologetically weird and 2) needs to learn how to shut up. If he were in a movie, he'd be the child that the "completely average" family tried to abandon at the grocery store but he'd end up in the backseat of the car again. Not to say his parents hate him or anything; he'd just annoying and people don't appreciate that it's his attempts at being social and fitting in.
Let's not forget that he's extremely smart, having majored in business and minored in mathematics when he was in college. He had a love for music growing up, thanks to his older brother that decided to create a band during his high school days, and so he abandoned the idea of creating a business and became a producer at the entertainment company he'd been interning at for several years. Now at twenty-four, Youngjae has yet to shed his youthful and annoying personality, but there's no doubt that he's one of the best producers at 48 Entertainment.

When he debuted at age seventeen in Team 48, nobody really liked Day. He was a dumb, kinda annoying teenager with a bad sense of humour and the only languages he had in common with the other members of Team 48 were English and fractured Korean until he eventually learned Japanese (his Mandarin teacher gave up on him sooner rather than later).
Day graduated as soon as he possibly could, and took up his current job as a photographer/cinematographer for 48 Ent to wait out the remains of his contract until he can leave and go to the USA or back to Thailand and make songs in a language he's actually comfortable with.

twenty-seven & soloist & ex-understudy
Very few people would associate the soloist Noh Eunkyu with 48 Entertainment. Although she trained there and was a low-ranking understudy for many years, she left in 2015 after her contract expired.
Most people would give up and go home. And Eunkyu almost did, but she figured it was worth a try to audition somewhere else. And lo and behold, another company took her in, trained her as a soloist, and she debuted (finally, after twelve years as a trainee) in 2016 at age twenty-five.
And now? Now, nobody would realise that the famous soloist Eunkyu was once that GNM48 understudy who became semi-infamous for falling over during a performance. And if she wants to go watch the successful girls' performances, why is that any of the media's business? They were her friends.
E L L O ,
H E A R T ,
Meet the 24-year-old whose music hasH Y U N . K :
taken the Korean hip-hop and R&B scene
by storm as she talks about her journey to the top, what inspires her to write her music, and her "Three H's" which have given her the strength to break past all of the barriers set before her.
Less than two years ago, Son Hyunkyung — better known by her stage name HYUN.K — was just an average student studying business administration at Howon University. Though Son had long been interested in music, she says that she "never dreamed it would be anything more than a passion project." Life, she says, works in mysterious ways, and Son calls the ensuing sequence of events her "miracle."
"I had a friend studying applied music," she says. "There was a guest that day, an alumni, who was coming as a guest lecturer, and my friend was supposed to play this song that he had written. But the girl who was going to sing came down with laryngitis, so my friend asked me if I would fill in for her, since I had helped him with the lyrics earlier."
Son never could have dreamed that her impromptu university performance would land her the honor of becoming the first signed recording artist at singer and producer Shim Wooseong's newly-established Daybreak Label under BS M&M. "It's an incredible privilege," Son says. "I wasn't anybody — just a business student who happened to sing in the right place at the right time. Really, I just got lucky."
When I mention that her perfect all-kill with Jenga in the first half of the year doesn't seem like pure luck, Son laughs, shaking her head shyly. "Okay, maybe it's not all luck," she admits, "but I'm still very thankful."
Though she's become well known for
her charms inside and out of her music, Son admits that being around people and sharing her work wasn't always easy. "I was really shy when I was in school," she says. "I've been writing music since I was young, since I was in middle school — but back then, I wouldn't let anyone hear or even see what I'd written. Most people didn't even know I wrote music."
This was something that Son continued to struggle with even after her talent was discovered. "The director and I had many meetings about it," she says. "About whether I should proceed as a producer or a recording artist. I was so afraid of putting myself out there, and then everyone hating me."
With some help, Son developed what she calls her "Three H's": Hello, heart, and HYUN.K. Hello, she says, because you can't get anywhere without an introduction. Everyone else started somewhere, too. Heart, because her heart is in her music, and she has to remember that this is what she loves to do, and her passion is stronger than her fears. And last but certainly not least, her stage name, HYUN.K — her "superhero name", as she calls it, because sometimes you need to feel like a hero to have the strength to face the world.[ 현케이 ]
