Hey guys!

So, most of us will be at least somewhat familiar with each other through the facebook group or another internet way, but since this group is a smaller subgroup and knowing someone does not necessarily mean knowing what they like to read... introductions might be in order :)

I'm Ike (pronounced Ieke, not Aik), 21 years old and a political science student. I currently mainly read contemporary English literature, but I'm also usually busy reading a classic and can also love a Dutch book or a graphic novel once in a while.
I'm usually reading at least two books at a time and buy way to many books for someone who still has so many to read. I also usually read/finish in spurts; of the 13 books I've read this year, I finished 7 between 16-02 and 29-03 and 6 between 04-07 and 09-08 (and none between 29-03 and 04-07).

So. How about you? :-)

Hi!

I'm Tessa, 18 years old, I live in Leeuwarden and will start the preparatory year (classical music: guitar) at the conservatoire in Groningen this September.

I like lots of different kinds of books, but mostly fantasty and young adult I guess.

(I'm actually really bad at writing introductions...)
I've been on Goodreads since 2012, but not at all actively, so pretty much a newbie here.

EveGemGem | 3 comments Hi I'm Evelyn, 23 years old. I used to devour books but then I had a period where I just didn't have the attention span to read... I'm now starting to read again and I've set a goal to read 50 books in 2014!
I love fantasy and young adult. Might have a soft spot for Romance as well. One of my favourite tropes is post-apocalyptic stories

Kimberly (aglaranna) Hi! I'm Kim(berly), 27, English student at UvA, ground stewardess at KLM, and my favourite hobby is devouring books. Next to listening to music. And going to concerts/festivals. And my cat. And drinking tea. Hmm, well, I may have more than just one favourite hobby..

Anyhow, I used to read mostly fantasy, and I have more or less read every epic fantasy classic known to mankind. I also love to read other genres, with the exception of horror and thrillers. Oh, and young adult is just not for me anymore. I've tried, but no. Lately I've been reading a lot of feminist/girlpower books and I absolutely love it.

Anyway, hi!

Yasmeenah | 1 comments Hi, I'm Yasmeenah (Ilse irl) and I'm 29 years old. I'm in the last year of my 'Maatschappelijk Werk en Dienstverlening' studie (I took a break for a couple of years but I've recently picked it up again). I've always loved reading.

When I was small we (my mother, brother and myself) used to go to the library once a week to pick out new books. I always used to finished them before the end of the week, even though I always got the maximum number of books allowed (like 5 comics, 5 magazines and 5 'regular' books or something like that?).

Lately I've been a bit busy with lots of different hobbies, school and just life in general and I mostly read for 1 hour before I sleep most nights (which means I take a bit longer to finish a book than usual, due to the sleepiness) and sometimes when I'm waiting or using public transport.

My favorite genres are fantasy, historical fiction and classics. I usually have several (between 5 and 10) books on my list at once and I alternate between them, depending on my mood, the time of day/tiredness and my surroundings (easier/harder to focus) among other things.

Ware | 1 comments Hi, I'm Ware, 24 and currently a volunteer collaborator at the ISMLLW while looking for a job in human rights. And I really love to read, always have and always will.
I started this year with the goal to read 30 books, but I had to change that goal last week to 40, yay! I'm a big fan of Scandinavian thrillers, historical fiction, and a lot of other genres.

Lee Martens (leemartens) Hello nerdfighters :D I recently joined your wonderful community. My name is Lieke and I'm 19 (almost 20) years old. I live in Amsterdam and study media and culture. I mostly read YA.
You can add me as a friend here if you want :)

Rachel (pacely) Helloh! My name is Rachel and I am currently 26 yo. I am working as an administrator at an ice-cream factory.
I got back with some reading mojo a couple of years back. It started with just a couple and now I cannot stop reading.

Last year(when I started this job) I discovered reading on my phone and it is so nice. When I am on break I can read for a bit, because at home I only read in bed, just before I go to sleep.
A few months ago I also started reading comics and I am currently going through the Marvel comics(not in any order).

When reading books my favourite genre is either contemporary or history(specifically Europe during WWII). I also usually read multiple books at once, that way I can just pick up whatever it is that I feel like reading at that time instead of having to just read the one book.
