There was plenty of action in this story. What were your most favorite scenes?

Laura The escape from the hotel where they were forced to crawl through the smoke and engage with the terrorists in the stairwell was my favorite.

That scene was awesome, Laura! Everything about it was riveting.

I also like the school scene, particularly Khalia’s bonding with the child.

I liked that one too.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 849 comments I liked the car bombing scenes near the beginning. It was Khalia's first real face to face with these evil people.

It really set the tone for the story.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 101 comments I have to agree with Laura...my favorite was the hotel scene. I could almost feel the smoke in their lungs...And having to basically shoot their way out was riveting. Especially when Khalia was able to fire a gun when she never had before.

Christina T (crysteena73) | 180 comments When I read the school scene I loved it but then I found the hotel one was even better. Even though, as a romance, we were pretty much guaranteed a HEA, I was truly scared Hunter and Khalia were doomed. I loved the action of this book.

And that’s remarkable. We know there’s going to be an HEA but still thought there was a possibility things could go horribly wrong. Really good writing.

I agree. I'm looking forward to more by this author.
