Hunter and Khalia’s relationship developed very quickly, mostly because of the dangerous circumstances. Too much insta-love or it works given their intense feelings for each other & developed trust? What did you think of them as a couple?

The insta doesn't bother me in romantic suspense because it usually always develops with danger etc. It is a welcome diversion from the action and killings etc. There's usually not time in these books for the slow -burn to develop. I liked them as a couple.

I've given up being bothered by the insta-love. The timeline in most plots are only a few days, a week at the most. The panacea that the circumstances were dangerous and just brought them closer, faster is just a rationalization. Trust is something built over time, time a lot of plots just don't have. I believe in lust at first sight. Love takes a little longer.

Yeah, insta-love has never really bugged me much but it does for a lot of readers. At least in RS, it’s easier to justify.

It seems to me it's more a part of RS books than other genres we might read.

Insta-love bugs the crap outta me. I did find their interest in each other authentic but after only a couple intense days love just doesn't work for me. I prefer books that say "Hey, lets see where this can go. Imma takin' you out for waffles when we get back home."
