I thought The Book Thief was excellent also but my vote went to A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. It's hard to have just one winner!!!
the good news, is that you can vote every day if you want :-) so you can hit all your favesi voted for the book thief one day, and the good earth another time.
watched the episode last night. it looks like a repeat of the pilot in the spring. loads of fun !
I watched last night's episode. It was the first one I ever watched. Good thing I have it on DVR, now I can watch it again with the book list in hand so I can make notes.

How many episodes are there in "The Great Read" or whatever it's called? I watched the first one and DVR recorded the recent one - but was wondering if it was a repeat.
According to the PBS September program booklet, there are more episodes and while they seem same (and I think some aspects are the same) they do cover different books. That's just what it seems like to me...but I have not seen all of the most recent show. My DVR is set to record upcoming episodes. And, PBS has programs about some of the authors and upcoming is Harper Lee.
