Cant wait! This will also be my first group read with this group - very excited to start chatting about it with you all! :)
Karly: that's great, we usually bave good discussions for group reads. I am trying to time my current audio book with the release date Tuesday in mind. I hope to start it this week.

Just curious, for those who have started this book, is it good so far? I just want to know before I start lol
Palmgirl, did you read the previous two? I can't imagine it not being good, based on those!Ann and company; I have it on request from the library but have no idea when it will come in, have to go check where I am in the queue. If I can't wait I will use an Audible credit for it.
I'm probably going to use an Audible credit on it too Carol. I am way down on a long queue for the audio but hope for a sooner turn with a large print copy to help with the chapter breaks for comments. Sometimes the large print books come available a bit faster.

Jan O'Cat: ahh, but you have some good reading ahead if you decide to pick up the series! OMalleycat wrote: "I'm sitting this one out since I haven't read the previous books. Y'all will have to somehow go on without me :-(

Ann wrote: "ahh, but you have some good reading ahead if you decide to pick up the series!"Gosh, Ann, I thought for sure that I was cuing you to recommend some UOOOR.
Not this time Ms.MischievousCat: the build-up from book to book is way too important!OMalleycat wrote: "Ann wrote: "ahh, but you have some good reading ahead if you decide to pick up the series!"

I’ll be starting this soon. It looks to be a long one. So it may take a while. I agree. The books should be read in order because of character development.

It will be difficult! LOL
Ann wrote: "the build-up from book to book is way too important!"Carol, look! Slowly but surely we are conquering all! Mwah ahah!
P. S. This message is intended only for Carol. Ann, Do Not Read!

I haven't read the first two. I think I'll start at the beginning. What is the first one?

Snort! I was about to crow that we had finally converted Ann to Read in Order, but I knew that would only fan her UOOOR (Unrepentant Out of Order Reader) flames. So glad to have my RIO buddy back!!!!
Palmgirl wrote: "I haven't read the first two. I think I'll start at the beginning. What is the first one?.."Palmgirl, the first one is The Cuckoo's Calling and it is very good! I'm sure if you Google you can find out why JK Rowling chose a male pen name. If I had to guess I'd say it was to make it harder for people to connect her to "him."

Thanks, I will check that out
Too late Ms. OCat! Ha ha. I blame Digital availability for my partial conversion ro read in order fan. OMalleycat wrote: "Ann wrote: "the build-up from book to book is way too important!"

Karly wrote: "Yay Carol! Can’t wait to discuss!"It's a big mother, Karly. Over 600 pages and small print! Yikes!
Carol: It's so good you'll want to gallop through and savor it all at once. :)Karly wrote: "I know but I promise it flies!! Faster than I anticipated :)"
When I picked it up the library the librarian said that she didn't even know the new one was out until she saw this on the Hold shelf. She went and immediately put herself on the hold list! I said "I guess I better read it in three weeks then!" She said yeah, but the list is long so it'll be awhile before I get it!So thanks to this group I put myself on the hold list probably before it came out, and was at/near the top. It's going to take determination to finish it in 3 weeks though. Hey, does that mean I can put it on my Determination List?
Carol: this sounds like a determination list candidate to me! I finished it last night by staying up way too late and it was so good I predict you will be glad you prioritize it. :)I will get back to posting the rest of the summaries shortly. I have them up to chapter 19 in the second segment.
Well, I had to give up on the print copy.. I read 50 pages the first night and worked out that I could finish the book before by the due date if I read 50 pages every night. Guess how many pages I read after that? Right. 0. ;-)So after I returned it I used an Audible credit and am going strong, at around chapter 15 or so. So I'm late to the party but here I come!
Carol: It’s well worth the credit! I am rereading as I (finally!) am finishing up the last set of summaries. It is so good! I feel bad that I got bogged down and let such time go between finishing those up. It will be good to chat about as you read/listen. So glad you are getting back to it Ann! I know what you mean about feeling guilty about a delay in posting summaries; been there, done that!
