Kaje Harper | 17410 comments The comic writer Sophie says : Hi everyone! I make comics and books about trans themes, and I offered to send bundles of my books to schools who would request them and it got completely out of hands!! In a good way!!!

I got over 300 requests in a couple of hours, half of which are on the opposite side of the planet from me. Now this is amazing and fabulous, but if every package will cost at least 10$ (canadian dollars) to ship, so this is going to get very expensive. A lot of people offered to help cover the costs of the initiative, so I thought : "hey! Why not also give 10% of that money to GoFundMe?"

Just kidding, of course. GoFundMe makes it easy to transfer funds, but if you want to send money directly, my Paypal is sophie@assignedmale.com

The funds raised will all go to cover the shipping costs. I'm covering the costs of the books myself, so if the campaign goes over the objective, the money will go towards printing more books!

Thank you all for making this possible!!

(If you haven't read their comics, check them out - most are fine for YA and deal with being trans in our society.)

The fundraiser is here:

The comics used to be be found here: (https://www.assignedmale.com/ But the page is now blank - there were some trolls and hacking, and perhaps the page is still down since then.)
This is their facebook - https://www.facebook.com/assignedmale/

A story about the artist here: (**Warning for story about extreme transphobia**)

Carrie-Anne | 105 comments Unfortunately nothing is on the website (I did click on the Twitter icon and saw that last year the site was hacked, so maybe it was never put back up properly? Or does it work for you?) Anyway, I saw apparently it's on Tumblr somewhere so I'm gonna check that out :)

You're right - I haven't been to the page in a while and it looks like it's still down. I added the facebook which is active and Sophie posts comics there.
