Douglas Gibson Hey ya'll! Werewolves are my favorite monster, but most of the books I find about them are duds!
Can anyone recommend some good werewolf books (fiction) for my October Horror reading list?? Please and thank you.

Those Across the River by Christopher Buehlman

Douglas Gibson Thanks! I don't know this one!!!

Randy Money | 462 comments I would second,
Werewolf! ed. Bill Pronzini
The Werewolf of Paris by Guy Endore
The Nightwalker by Thomas Tessier

And I'd add,
Sharp Teeth by Toby Barlow. This one may not be as scary as the others, but it's beautifully written and it's thought out with the precision of a good mystery novel.

Perry Lake | 335 comments For classics, I'd recommend The Werewolf of Paris by Guy Endore .
It may not be a great werewolf novel, but it's a great novel about the Paris Commune.

Sharon Hendricks | 3 comments I’m a fan of the Howling trilogy by Gary Brandner. Yes they’re what the Howling movies are loosely based on.

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) | 1026 comments Thor by Wayne Smith is amazing, read it last year - it's not scary and the POV is the family dog. Beautiful and engrossing story, though.

Jeff Strand's gory were book is a lot of fun
