I’ve been wanting to start at the beginning too! There’s a solid year of reads I missed and then some I just never got to read.

I've just added all 68 books from Vaginal Fantasy to 'want to read' and I've got a year and a bit ahead of me. :p
So I finished Grave Witch at 3.00am last night. It's been so long since I've picked up a book and just had to finish it.I really enjoyed Grave Witch, it was a fun read, just enjoyable and easy to get lost in.
I quite liked the main character, she was relatable and didn't delve into the fantasy (and sometimes crime fiction) aspect of being super klutzy. She had reasonable reactions to what was happening around her.
I also enjoyed the way the booked delved straight into the lore and didn't hit us with exposition over the head. At first a felt a little jarring, as the reader had to just let go and pick up the story as it went, but it meant that the world felt more involved and less a list of aspects of the lore.
As for the supporting characters, I thought they were pretty well done.
The love interests weren't overly domineering. While there were moments where Falin got his protective man hat on, it never felt like either he had any control over Alex.
It was nice to actually see a softer side to him, than Alex, occasionally.
Half way through the book, it reminded me the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich, with two men competing for the heroine. Both gorgeous, but one more tangible (in Grave Witch, literally) and one more mysterious and unreachable - leaving, I felt, one as the more obvious end game. Not that I've read any of the sequels.
Over all, really liked the book and I'm looking forward to revisiting the Vaginal Fantasy meet up to see what everyone else thought.
I was just listening to the meet up and they felt the lore wasn't as fleshed out as it could be, but I felt it was laid out in a way that felt like there was more to come - in the next book.It made me want to read the next one (but I've got my challenge.) I really enjoyed the way the books revealed her powers and abilities to us. I found it refreshing to see a different type of ability. It feels like it's all vampires and werewolves and clairvoyants. It was nice to see something a little different.
Also everyone is for Death as the love interest, I liked it more at the start of the book, but once we got to know Falin more, I was swayed more to that side of the love triangle.
Maybe it's the practical part of me - and also the fact that we saw more of Falin, and Death was a lot more mysterious - but I can't see how things can work with Death. Though I have just realised how ridiculous that sounds given that the other option is fae and the main character is a literal grave witch.
The only other thing I wanted to add, having listened to the meet up, is that I'm really looking forward to seeing how many different types of Vaginal Fantasy there are out there and how many of those are positive in their representation of women.
I've started a little blog so I can keep myself honest on this challenge - and I've myself an outlet for my thoughts on the book.If anyone is interested, you can follow my challenge at blossom scribe.wordpress.com
or
I have an instagram feed going with it as well - just search for blossomscribe on instagram to find me. :)
I’ll follow your blog and your instagram. I’m DarthVix on instagram and will be following from my blog MsNoseinaBook if you see those names follow you, that’s me! I just finished Grave Witch and am getting ready to view the hangout. I really enjoyed Grave Witch. I definitely want to continue with the series, I read it in a day! I think I like Falin as the love interest though Death is pretty intriguing too. There was alot I liked about this book. I loved the idea of a world in which our world and other worlds, mortals and others coexist even if not so peacefully all the time. I thought it was interesting when she pointed out that new areas emerged where wilder creatures existed. Maybe we will get to see more of that in later books, if so I am looking forward to that.
I glossed over the fact that new areas emerge, that does sound really cool!I really want to read more of the books.
Thanks for the follow, I’ll have to do the same. :)

I am brand spanking new to the Vaginal Fantasy goodreads group. I had in passing fancy fashion watched an online meet up here and there (for a little while there, it really helped with my anxiety to listen to the lovely ladies when I was working a job that was making me very unhappy).
Just yesterday I thought to myself, "I should really check up on Vaginal Fantasy, it's been a long time and I haven't been reading much, it'll give me a good excuse to get back into reading."
Much to my dismay I found that the Felicia Day lead online meet ups have come to an end. Noooooooo!!!!
Given that I really wanted to delve back into reading in general, I thought it would suck if I gave up just because those had finished.
Soooooo, long story short, I am going to go way back to the beginning and set myself a challenge to read a book a week (ha! we'll see how long that lasts), along with the google catch ups, until I catch up to where the goodreads group is at.
I'll try and post my thoughts each week here on the books. Have a read or a comment if you'd like.
Wish me luck.
Off to read the Grave Witch.
Bec.
