October will be a week-long team Toppler. The toppler will be held from October 6-13. It will run from noon Saturday, October 6th, to noon Saturday, October 13th, EDT.

Countdown to Toppler!!

We are trying something new with this toppler! This is going to be an all group, one team toppler! No teams and no points! We are ALL team YLTO!

We will all work together to try to complete all the tasks of the Popsugar challenges from 2015 through 2018. Once all of the tasks are completed, you can repeat any task to add to our total book count.

We will have a few threads going for this. We will have this thread where everyone can chat and discuss which books you will read. If it gets too confusing with discussion and tasks together, I may need to start a second thread. I will update the first few threads with people assigned to tasks and the books they are reading.

There will be TWO reporting threads. The first reporting thread is where we report every book read and which task we read for. This will be where I keep track of the tasks completed for our team.

The second will be a reporting thread where you report only ONCE stating your WoF name and that you completed a book for the toppler. This will be the thread I use to give out badges.

A few rules:
1. Books must be started and finished in this time period to qualify.
2. The book must be at least 175 pages based on the version you are reading, unless otherwise specified.
3. You may read any format - paperback, hardcover, ebook, or audiobook. For audiobooks use the page count on the first edition that comes up on the GR page.
4. Graphic novels do not count.

New rules for this toppler:
1. Please only sign up for one or two tasks at a time, even if you can read a lot more. We want to make sure everyone has a chance to try to find a task that works for them. We don't want any one person to have a bunch of tasks that work for them and other people to not be able to find any tasks left that they can complete. After people have had a chance to sign up, you can add more to your load of books if you'd like. If you read a lot, I would suggest gophering for significantly more tasks than you think you can finish and/or finding books that will fit several different tasks. This will help us cover more tasks as a group.

2. I ask that no additional gifs be added to the threads. With such a big group, this may clutter up the threads. Additionally, a couple of people have mentioned having limited data and the gifs use up quite a bit. In order to make such a large group thread user friendly to all, I think it best to eliminate the extra gifs.

Toppler books can count toward the group theme read and/or the monthly or yearly challenge, if they qualify.

Kristie | 19688 comments When you are stating what book you are reading, please link the book and state which year and which task you are reading for!

I'll add more here as we go. If you have questions about a task, I'll answer and add guidelines next to the task.

Kristie | 19688 comments So, I'll go first. I'd like to read My Real Name Is Hanna for the 2015 task "A book by a female author". I've added it above so you can see how it goes.

I also plan to read The Funhouse by Owen West aka Dean Koontz for the 2017 task, "A book by an author who uses a pseudonym".

I may be able to read another, but I'll wait to see which tasks are still available later.

I guess you'll have to access to a physical copy. That one will probably be more difficult to fill.

I found this list of books that would fit, if anyone can find a copy: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/8...
