Ted Decker accepts Frank’s request to hire an investigator to help with the Tom Brandt case. Do you think he’s still more interested in discrediting Tom rather than finding the truth? Were you surprised Frank asked for help?

From something we read a few books ago, I think Decker knows something unsavory about Tom, but at that time I also thought Decker might have murdered his son-in-law himself. Hoping for a resolution of this question, so that we don't get hung out to dry in every book.

I do think Frank has dismissed the idea that Decker had anything to do with Tom’s death.

Yes, Decker still wants to discredit Tom Brandt in his daughter's eyes. That is clear from the conversation in the epilogue.

Nevertheless, he is willing to help find the truth despite his motivation.
