In Going Solo by Roald Dahl I find it interesting that the character that I least relate to is the main character, Roald Dahl. First of all he took a long boat trip to Africa which is not for me because I get very seasick on long boat rides and even short ones. One day my brother my dad and I ventured out into the ocean on a day long fishing trip, very shortly I found boats aren't for me. That day me and my dad were seasick the whole entire time. We still laugh about this story and share it, my dad laugh's and says we were both "green." Secondly he joined the army and was a pilot which I have very little interest in doing. Dahl crash landed trying to find his squadron and was found and taken to the hospital. He was temporarily blind and some said he would never be able to fly again. Many months later he was relieved to see again and went right back to flying. This is the opposite of me, first I wouldn't join the army and second after surviving a deadly crash landing go back to flying.
