Elizabeth Lavenza hasn't had a proper meal in weeks. Her thin arms are covered with bruises from her "caregiver," and she is on the verge of being thrown into the streets . . . until she is brought to the home of Victor Frankenstein, an unsmiling, solitary boy who has everything--except a friend.

Chapter 6-11
(view spoiler)[ I believe Victor killed Henry. Henry is that monster. Just a feeling there. Victor is spoiled omg he gets away with a lot. His part know he ain't right. Elizabeth determined to make sure she has a home by making sure Victor don't get in trouble. She's always protecting him. (hide spoiler)]

Part 2
Chapters 12-16
(view spoiler)[ aww not cool Victor brother was murdered. But I have my suspensions on that. Justina taking the fall for it not cool. Just sad all around for Elizabeth. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 17-21 to the end
(view spoiler)[ hmm now I see why the Frankenstein kept Elizabeth around....money.... She finds out the truth to the man she thought she loved. Victor sick....crazy....the ending was interesting as of course Victor mess up their plan. Love how Adam Mary and Elizabeth determined to trap Victor. Poor Henry/Adam... interesting story 3.5 🌟 (hide spoiler)]

Ch1-2. Elizabeth’s resolve is evident, and you can’t help but notice how odd that set-up is.

Chapter 1-7
(view spoiler)[ ha, this is a strange book, Elizabeth is a strong character, her childhood has shaped her, into a woman at a young age. No time for childish things, she had to learn to hide her feelings, to Play a role. Victor needs mental health care. The searching of Victor, what exactly happened to Henry. I like that Mary is smart

(view spoiler)[ hmmmm, victor is found, so he went all the way to try to defeat death. At times love makes one crazy. So who killed Willie and what is the 'it' that Elizabeth is scared of?

Chapter 14-21
(view spoiler)[ This is taking a turn and i'm not sure if i like it. So, JUSTINE died just like that? Elizabeth has always been rich and she was kept in the dark, now she is beginning to think Victor killed William. Don't do this (hide spoiler)]

Final chapters and the end
(view spoiler)[hmmmm! This is scary, It took deaths for Elizabeth eyes to open that she loves a monster and come to think of it, Victor truly Loved her but he needed Mental health care and was not provided with it.

Up to ch8. Interested that so much time is spent explaining Victor as a younger child. Definitely interesting to see it through another character’s eyes.

Up to ch12. Elizabeth’s insights show Victor has always been disturbed. The account of their visit to Ingolstadt is pretty unpleasant.

Up to ch27. Seeing events from Elizabeth’s view lends it a chilling air. Interesting exploration of the context of the story.

Completed. Review on home page. Enjoyed this more than I thought.
