Physical, I like to feel them and smell them. Am I crazy? :) but i have a lot of ebooks too, my bookshelves are full :(
I can totally relate XD there are some books that I would rather have a physical copy but there are those that I just want to read whenever so I'd rather get the ebook
ebooks don’t hold my focus as much as physical copies do so i prefer physical books. but sometimes if i don’t want to spend a lot of money, i’ll get the ebook... probably ended up dnfing, though.
I prefer physical copies but if the book doesn't exist physically or is out of print, eBooks are my go-to.
I really prefer the physical book and sometimes I'll play the audiobook along. Plus I don't want to drain the battery on my phone with ebooks. LOL!
I honestly like both; you really can't go wrong with either. But if I had to choose, I'd say physical books haha. (I don't really like audiobooks though.)
I love both tbh. Especially with books where I'm not sure that I'll like them I get the ebook which is often times way cheaper and read it, if I love it I can still get the physical book for my collection. Also my Kindle is so light and small it's great for traveling.
i usually prefer ebooks because for some reason i read them faster than i would with a physical version of the book??? also ebooks take up way less space(and money!) than actual books BUT if i really REALLY liked the book i try to buy the physical version of it
I prefer physical books but in my situation where I live I can't find them easily so I go for ebooks
To quote Olivia Newton-John, "Let's get physical, physical!" Although, lately I am finding audio-books are convenient when driving and while at work.
I totally prefer physical books. I love the smell of books and the feeling that comes when turning a page but sometimes I don’t want to spend a lot of money and end up buying the ebook version.
I prefer physical books because i can read them at school or between classes plus they’re not harmful to the eyes
I love both for different reasons.Nothing will ever top reading a book in physical form. The touch, the smell, and the turning of the pages are things that just add to your reading experience and make you feel closer to the story. However, physical books are EXPENSIVE, and as a broke high school student I can’t afford to buy a physical copy of every book I read.
That’s when a cheaper alternative, ebooks, come into place. I find it weird how I somehow read faster in digital form, but I’m not complaining about that hehe. I feel on top of the world when I go traveling and don’t have to sacrifice space on my suitcase or the condition of my back to be able to read during my trip, I can just pack my Kindle full of ebooks and I’m ready to go.
At the end of the day, it all depends on the person
I personally prefer having physical books (I like the way they feel and smell, lol) but I'm starting to fill up my shelf space so I've really taken to reading ebooks now and only buying physical copies for books I really want.
I personally like print books because I feel like it’s just a different experience from e books! Buying printed books just gives me joy!!
ebooks, physical books, audiobooks—it doesn't matter!I get most of my books from the library or NetGalley and whatever format they come in I'll read them. For me it's the content (well, content and narrator for audiobooks) that matters, not the format.
Definitely prefer physical books. I don’t hate ebooks or anything but there’s just something special about holding a physical book in your hand and turning the pages. Besides I stare enough at screens all throughout my life with schoolwork, University work and probably will with my career as well so I don’t like reading books on a screen as much. Also, nothing can beat collecting books and arranging them on your shelves.
Ebooks are super convenient and all, but there's something about physically holding a book that makes it a lot easier to actually lose myself in.
I have both. I like looking at books on my shelf but they're all second hand. If they're cheaper on ebook I'll just buy that.
For some reason having a physical copy makes me enjoy the book more and actually want to read it. While with an eBook I always postpone it.
physical copies are so much easier for me to read, but ebooks are so much cheaper! i definitely prefer physical though
I mostly read ebooks now because it's easier since I don't have to carry around physical copies all the time and I spend a lot of time away from home, but typically I would prefer physical copies
Serena F. wrote: "I mostly read ebooks now because it's easier since I don't have to carry around physical copies all the time and I spend a lot of time away from home, but typically I would prefer physical copies"same! feeling the pages is just really something else for me but sometimes I just need a hassle-free way of carrying books with me, especially when I'm on the go but still want to keep reading XD
When on Holiday it is always ebooks, or me and my boyfriend would be massively over the weight limits. If i am reading more than one book at one I will have one ebook and one hard copy, which helps me keep the plots right in my head. If i had to pick only one I would have to say physical copies.
Physical all the way(wow, you could take that the wrong way if you didn't know the context) I do read graphic novels as ebooks because I don't really like graphic novels that much. I only read them when I want to get a review out and aren't anywhere close to finishing a novel.

It's a bit hard to travel with full-sized physical books, especially hardbound ones

HAHA XD same with the graphic novels! I usually jut get ebooks for those
Tricky question.. I really love printed book, but I haven't bought one in like two years. Since I got my eReader I learned how much more practical it is to always carry your favorite books around. I rarely sit down and read. More likely I read while heading somewhere or while my boyfriend plays his shooter game and I have nothing to do for school (or simply don't like to do something for school).
I don’t have an Ereader so I haven’t ever tried reading any ebooks, but I’ve listened to a few audiobooks. I’m more of a “visual leaner” though so I prefer reading physical books. I seem to get into them and understand them better that way!

but at the same time I love seeing physical books on my physical bookshelf HAHAHA

There used to be a time when I only read ebooks but since I started to read books in English (I'm not a native English speaker) I tend to only read physical copies with only a few ebooks now and then
Henrieke wrote: "There used to be a time when I only read ebooks but since I started to read books in English (I'm not a native English speaker) I tend to only read physical copies with only a few ebooks now and then"ooh that's interesting
I don't have an ereader either. I've read a handful of books on my phone but it was very tiring and exhausting for my eyes. I know you don't have this problem with an ereader, but I just prefer physical books anyway (although I have to admit ebooks are much more practical for traveling!)
I use both. I love physical books but since I moved a few years ago I just don't have the space for them. The Kindle has been very handy for that - also easy access to public domain books. However, if I find something I REALLY like I will absolutely get a physical copy of it.
yepp! I always get the urge to buy the physical copies of the books that I absolutely fell in love with and adore hehe
Physical copies!! Because i like to touch the cover then after i wrap it in plastic cover, i like the feel of the paper and the smell too! It’s so much better than e-books!
Physical copies! Its hard for me to read for a long time on a screen which is why I prefer having the actual book on me. I prefer hardcovers over paperback because I wouldn't have to worry about the spine.
I'm a minimalist (with a tendency to extreme minimalism) and a traveller (travel about 9-11 months a year, at least till the current situation began), so I prefer e-books, mostly on kindle.Don't get me wrong, I love paper books, but my lifestyle is a bit tricky to incorporate all the paper books I want to read :)
Now I have in a physical form only some technical programming books, related to my job/hobby, which I tend to use pretty often (about 15 books), but even those books I have in a digital format too.
And also an illustrated edition of Harry Potter (which I love so much and tend to re-read every year or even twice a year).
Either, but like being able to read at night without a lot of light so as not to disturb hubby and having lots of books on one device. Don't like not being able to switch easily between books on device.
