There are so many series I want to read (all Cassandra Clare's and Sarah J. Maas' series, Red Queen, Millennium, The Illuminae Files, The Wrath and Dawn, Trials of Apollo, The Immortals, Fallen Empire, Daughter of Smoke and Bone, The Dark Tower) ...don't know where to begin... Can't read them all at once right? I do want series to be complete/finished before I start reading them, so I won't have to re-read them in a year or so if a new instalment comes out. I will be reading The Dark Tower starting January in any case, if anybody would like to join.
I will therefore nominate The Dark Tower by Stephen King.
The Dark Tower looks interesting. I still need to read Trials of Apollo. I wish I hadn’t bothered with Cassandra Clare or Sarah Maas (or Marie Lu). I’ve read so much that’s better, they were severe disappointments.

These have been updated. However, in October or November, we'll remove all seconds so that members who have already read (and do not want certain series they've seconded) can second books they're willing to participate in.
Nominations are welcomed, as always. Highest seconded books will be taken to poll in mid-December and two series will be selected.

Ok, so I don't know if this is possible cause it would mean selecting 2 series at once, but here's my idea:I really want to read The Shadowhunters Chronicles. The advised reading order (https://www.goodreads.com/series/4445...) starts of with #1, 2 and 3 of The Mortal Instruments, followed by #1 of The Infernal Devices, The Mortal Instruments #4, The Infernal Devices #2, The Mortal Instruments #5, The Infernal Devices #3, The Mortal Instruments #6.
So I was wondering if I could nominate The Mortal Instruments ánd The Infernal Devices together to be read alternate as mentioned before?
@Susy, sure that can happen. If a series is selected, we'll read in whatever order it's supposed to be read regardless of such divisions (unless they are novellas-which will be read when the main books are through). We'll read the first three books (if this is selected) and then ask the participants (only) if they wanna read book 1 of The Infernal Devices or read it after the 6 Mortal Instruments' books.
The Infernal Devices are often called a prequel series to the Mortal Instruments, but only because they take place in an earlier time period and contain some of the Mortal Instruments' characters' ancestors. You don't have to read the Mortal Instruments before The Infernal Devices. You don't have to read the The Infernal Devices before The Mortal Instruments. You can read them in any order.

Depends. We are reading The Lunar Chronicles and Percy Jackson this year. You can join us with those anytime. Percy Jackson will be started by June/July. The Lunar Chronicles are being read right now and you can find the folder on the Group Home.
2 series will be selected for 2020 in the year end polls.

Thank you Aqsa! I think I will go for reading it by myself then cause I really want to follow the Shadowhunters Chronicles order (so not because TID is a prequel) so that would mean a long term commitment (I didn’t mention all the books in my previous post).

Sure. After my exams I'll be going on a short trip to Mumbai(it is a huge city of India) and come back with loads of books. I've just checked Cinder and it's reviews and it is definitely on my to-buy list now. I've known about this from a long time that it was somehow related to cinderella but I avoided it( I don't know for what reason!). I'll start with it as soon as I'm back from Mumbai. Can't wait to join ya' all.

There's only nominating, Swati :) We'll keep seconding in the November :)

Important Note: Do not second books now. You'll be asked to do that later in the year. Only nominate series if they fit the criteria. You can second all you want.
The nominated series MUST have at least 3 books.
The 'seconds' are kept updated. However, in October or November, we'll remove all seconds so that members who have already read some (and do not want certain series they've seconded) can second books they're willing to participate in.
Nominations are welcomed, as always. Highest seconded books will be taken to poll in mid-December and two series will be selected.
Nominate: It means you offer a book not already mentioned.
Second: This means you vote for a book already nominated by another person.
You'll see that the total nominations and seconds in the comment below with the number suggesting how many people seconded it.
