Can it be from books started previously
Oooo I didn’t think of that? I was halfway through my book when this challenge started, I only counted the words continuing from the point in the book where I was though, I didn’t go back in the book to find the words, if you get what I mean, hoping this still counts!
I believe the books can be started at anytime, but they must be read within the time frame of the challenge.

I was halfway through my book when this challenge started, I only counted the words continuing from the point in the book where I was though, I didn’t go back in the bo..." I hope it doesn't count... I gave up candle because I read that part of the book before the challenge started.
I think that when the challenge starts and say your halfway through the book, you can only include words from where you are in the book on the day that the challenge starts? So if say I’m on page 50 and candle is on page 30 I can’t count that because I read that before the challenge started, but in order to include the word on page 50 I have to finish the whole book before the date the challenge finishes, is that right? Either way it’s all about having fun isn’t it, lots of my words are void in the last challenge because I didn’t realise you had to finish the book before the challenge finished, I still enjoyed it though :)
Glad everyone is having fun with this challenge:)

That's about right. Anything you read October onward counts.

Hi sophii have also felt the same way... words repeat often ..and i have to at every stage find alternate ones taking care that the meaning is preserved . what do you do?
Hi Rabindranath,Are you participating in this challenge? I would love to see how your doing! It's very good to see how words can mean different things and how they can be written in different contexts!
Mycal wrote: "Odd question... are children books valid?"
That's a good question, because a lot of these words you would find in children books.
