I love Brody and Roy Scheider was perfect casting. In the book, I wanted to smack Hooper many times, and while Dreyfuss is perfect onscreen, he is NOT who I imagine as I read.

Yeah - I am not sure I am going to be able to avoid seeing them when I read the book.

I’m nearly halfway through it. I find it to be a really easy read. I like the characters, the story, the setting and love the suspense about the shark’s attacks. I wish I’ve read this on holiday by the sea. 😁
Benchley has an easy to read style that belies the danger of the scene. I've read a lot of his books and it's my favorite thing about his writing.
Luckily for me I haven’t seen the movie so the story is all new to me. I am about 25% through and am really liking it so far!
I am still up for doing a real time live movie watching party when we are all done. We can get a chat going somehow.
