I read this in Sep, didn't think it would end up getting picked as book of the month. It's an interesting commentary on life in america as a non-american black person. the main chararacter is from nigeria, there she does not think of her skin color but on coming to US to study she feels a distinct difference.
There is also a good bit on life in Nigeria for an expat returning home.
Overall it's a bit preachy, quite a lot stuffed into one book but very much readable.
The blurb in the back sells it as a love story but its really about race, prejudices, life as an immigrant etc etc
