(This is a popular werewolf bar where they will serve you drinks even if you're underaged as long as you are a werewolf though they also serve to Nephilim)

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Susan sat at a side table, passing a glass of water from hand to hand. Her mother had refused to leave when Susan had finally managed to get home with her brother several days ago. She hadn't wanted to flee blindly, unsure of just how much the Clave knew. They could run, but they couldn't hide.

So instead of packing up and making themselves scarce, Sienna had locked herself up with her children, getting in touch with whatever Downworlder contact she had in the city to try to get some information on just how much the Shadowhunters knew.

Feeling a little stir crazy, Susan couldn't handle listening to her mother make useless phone call after useless phone call. After coercing her brother into keeping his mouth shut, she snuck out of the house and somehow ended up here.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Watching the ice cubes in her drink melt, Susan didn't need to look up to know that a Shadowhunter had entered the vicinity. The discontent murmurs from the werewolves were enough. One thing she liked about the Downworlders in America was that there was no doubt that they hated the Nephilim. The wolves in this bar would sooner bite off their own tails before accepting a bribe from a Shadowhunter.

While she was aware of his presence, Susan had to look up to at least keep an eye on the Shadowhunter. A frown settled on her lips as recognition dawned on her.

It was the one who had helped her at the park. She wasn't sure whether she was relieved or not. A Shadowhunter was a Shadowhunter, even if he had helped her get away.

Bringing her drink to her lips, she took a long sip, watching the Shadowhunter from over the top of her glass.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Maybe this was a sign that she should be heading out. Running into a Shadowhunter right now wasn't one of her top priorities. Setting her half empty glass on the table, Susan carefully stood up, not wanting to draw any attention to herself.

She skirted around tables and chairs, careful not to walk through someones' conversation, all the while glancing back on occasion to make sure she hadn't been spotted.

With one final look back towards the bar, Susan slipped down a narrow hallway to the back exit, crossing her fingers that she would be home free now. Considering that this Shadowhunter had been able to pick her out of a crowd once before, however, didn't fill her with overwhelming certainty.

((I love reading your rps. It's like reading a book.))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((why thank you, Batman ^_^ ))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Susan let herself out the back exit, finding herself in a dingy alley way. Beside the door was a werewolf leaning against the wall, smoking a particularly fowl smelling cigarette. For a being that was supposed to have superior sense of smell, she couldn't understand how the Downworlder could put that thing between his lips.

Shaking her head, she headed down the alley towards the street, but not stepping out into the sidewalk. Susan pulled her phone out of her pocket to check the time. She had hardly been out for half an hour. It was the longest she had been out of the house for several days now, but she wondered if she should be pushing her luck.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((Lol, sounds good ^_^))

Susan's head shot up when she picked up the sound of commotion from inside the bar. Glancing back, she noticed that the werewolf had dropped his still lit cigarette, darting back inside.

Maybe it was a bar fight or something... she moved over towards the door, stepping on the cigarette and grinding it to a pulp with her shoe on the damp pavement.

Opening the door just a crack, she strained her ears to get an idea of what was happening without jumping into the fray herself. She immediately picked up on the word "Nephilim" and her stomach twisted. What the hell had that boy done to get himself in trouble?

Susan didn't hear any signs of a scuffle, so she stayed where she was, not wanting to get involved unless she absolutely needed to. This guy had saved her life, the least she could do was get him out of a tight spot if he needed help. She may hate the Shadowhunters, but she still had their pride. She wasn't going to let a debt go unpaid.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Things seemed to be calming down in the bar and Susan figured that was her cue to leave. He didn't need her help, she had no other reason to stick around.

She let the door close softly, the hinges squeaking ever so slightly, before she turned to head out of the alley way. She was nearly out onto the street when she glanced down the sidewalk, only to see that the bar door was open, and someone was coming out.

Not daring to take her chances, she moved back into the alley, leaning back against the brick wall, hidden in the shadows.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Susan looked around for any kind of escape when she realized that these two wouldn't be going anywhere anytime soon, but the alley was a dead end, and the fire escape on the adjacent building would be too loud. Biting back a sigh, she decided to bide her time.

Nosy as ever, she focused her attention on the conversation taking place just several feet away from her. Susan remained perfectly still, not daring to so much as breathe too loudly.

Her stomach turned at the mention of her family. So they were gossip now? Did that mean there was more attention on them? To draw them out and slaughter them like the demons they were believed to be?

But the Shadowhunter boy seemed to want nothing to do with it, despite his father's wishes. The longer she listened to the older man, the more she thought, "What a d*ck." She wanted to tell him that he was just as disgusting to her as she was to him.

When he asked his son to do his duty for his family, she knew he wouldn't be able to ignore that. She wouldn't. She would do anything for her family, and she could only assume that as a Shadowhunter, he felt the same way... right?

Susan held her breath as the man walked past her hiding place, but he didn't once glance back or show any indication that he had noticed her presence. She let out a slow relieved breath.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Susan knew she couldn't very well just hide like he would just forget she was there. Lips thin, she pivoted slightly so she was fully facing the street, her figure dimly illuminated as she leaned her left shoulder against the wall.

"Your dad is and @sshole," she told him nonchalantly.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Like Shadowhunters in general? she thought to herself, feeling it wasn't necessary to voice that particular thought. There was one concern she had in mind, however.

"Do you know how long he's going to be in town for?" she asked hesitantly. Someone with that much determination and hatred for her family would be a fairly lethal threat if he was staying in the same city as they were.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Susan watched him with a passive expression on her face. This was't good. She hated not knowing. Her family should have just left already instead of sitting around, under lock down in their own home.

By the way the Shadowhunter was acting, she figured that hadn't been an easy conversation for him. Instead of asking if he was okay, though, she gave him his space and instead answered his question. "I wanted to get some fresh air," she replied simply.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Susan raised an eyebrow at him. "You think it's my choice to be here? I'm not the one who makes all the calls," she informed him.

She had only ever been in charge once and she absolutely hated it. For that, she wished no harm ever came to her mother, if only so she wouldn't have to responsibility of keeping both herself and her brother alive.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((Oh no! What happened? I don't mind the typos, and take the time you need. I'll be busy for the next... 10 months, so I'll be checking when I can.))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((I hope you heal soon!))

((Whoa, you just got deep there... so dramatic))

Susan just blinked at the Shadowhunter. "Thanks for the vote of confidence," she said shortly.

Something was clearly eating away at him, but she didn't dare ask. He looked more than upset; he looked rebellious. Going against the status quo wasn't a smart thing to do when you were a Nephilim. She knew that more than anyone.

"Don't do anything stupid, okay?" she advised him, doubting he would take her words to heart. He seemed like someone who did what he wanted, when he wanted to. If he had his mind set, nothing would sway him.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((Hmm, I'm not sure. I feel like some other Shadowhunters should maybe come into the picture, or we should figure out why the Clave hasn't really done anything to get the Stormways just yet. It might be easier if we take the brainstorming to messaging, though, so we don't spam up the whole thread ^_^))

((I'm sorry to hear about your fingers and overwhelming group. What's your group about? Maybe I can give you some idea's for plot...))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((That could be interesting. I'm wondering what would be a bigger priority than the Stormways... A new character might be hard to make with school and everything. I've been thinking of making Leo, but I'm not entirely sure yet))

((And I read the first two of Heroes of Olympus and all of the Percy Jackson series... I'm not sure how much I could help, though))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((Oh, man... maybe wait to throw in more shadowhunters until the school year starts moving along?

And I'll keep it in mind :) ))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((Homeschooling, huh? Why did you decide to do that? Maybe we should put this on hold until you catch up on school work...?))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((Really? That's cool. Where are you all going? I'll try to do some charries, can't promise they'll be soon, though))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((Why are you traveling so much?))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((Sorry, I'm curious ^_^ where are you all going?))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((Oh, sorry, didn't mean to overstep any boundaries, you don't have to tell me))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((How's life been otherwise?))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((I'm pretty much the same as you. The weather has been crappy here, and if I get caught in cold, rainy weather, that usually means I get sick))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((It's been cold a lot recently, which is unseasonable. It usually gets cooler towards the end of September, but it's been really cold the past few weeks and it hasn't been doing much good for my immune system.))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((Yikes, that sounds brutal))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((Oh man, I think I have year round allergies. Most of the time I can't go outside without getting a runny nose >.<))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((Yeah, it sucks. I have to take crappy generic allergy meds or else going outside sucks. Then when I got to a friends house and they have a cat, my sinuses get ridiculously congested. I have a really mild case of asthma, but it really acts up when I'm sick or with my allergies. I've been freaking people out lately cuz I don't have my inhaler and it sounds like I'm coughing up a lung))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((Oh man, that's gotta suck! I'm a swimmer, or at least I was until I screwed up not one but both of my shoulders... can't exactly kick ass during a relay when I can't do the backstroke... but the pool was nice cuz the moisture really helped with breathing. I don't usually use an inhaler, only when I cough so much it's hard to breathe and gets really painful, so I don't really get dependent on it. I use it on and off for a few weeks usually only once a year.))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((Yeah, swimming can be great therapy because if you take it easy, it can be great for your ligaments. Trust me, it's the easiest six pack you'll ever get :P Unfortunately, I was a little too scared of my new swim coach to go back to the pool in an attempt to recover, so I walked around with a t-rex arm for about a month. No movement from the shoulder for the rotator cuff to heal, but now my flexibility is shot. But yeah, allergies... I think I'm allergic to ginger, too... causes me to break out in ridiculous hives. Like, my eyes actually swell shut))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((Yeah, the miracles of freestyle and backstroke. It stretches and tightens your stomach muscles. Had abs of steel for a while XD Yeah, I'm broad shouldered too, it's good for swimming. It's too bad you dropped out of martial arts, that sounds like it could be really fun. Yeah, it took me awhile to figure it out. It happened a few times after I had this tea, and I just said, "well, i'm not having that again." I wish I could be vegetarian. If I was, though, I'd be skin and bones after living in this house >.< I live among carnivores))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((My mom just came in and told me that she might have wanted to name me Annabell when I was born. Right after this admission, she had a revelation that if she had named me that instead of Abigail, I would have had a scary movie named after me o.o ))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((Are you kidding? Scout is one of the coolest names! Ever read To Kill a Mockingbird? I love so many books, but that one has to be my favorite))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((Yeah, that's the one with Boo Radley :) I had to read it sophomore year, and even though it was an assignment, I absolutely loved it. It's a classic for a reason, but I also think it's a book you should want to read, you know? It isn't something that can just be forced on you.))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((Oof, that had too suck. Maybe pick it up again when you aren't sick? How's that? I've never read it, but I saw the movie with Jackie Chan ^_^))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((I read Call of the Wild in fifth or sixth grade. It was pretty good, but maybe a bit much for an 11 year old... Never read The Hobbit, though))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((You have to get used to London's excessive detail and some dog fights [I'm mean, yikes] but it's good))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((Ha, you know London as in the author, right? ^_^ London is pretty hectic. If you ever go there, take the train or a bike. Traffic is horrible. I could never live in that city. I'm planning on spending a year at John Cabot in Rome, though :) ))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((Ha, nice ^_^ I'm going to be in Rome next March for a school trip and I"m super excited. Pompeii would be incredible to see, though, I mean yeah, the stories horrific, but it's also got some amazing history))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((Touche... alright, talk to ya later!))
