What do our favorite books about villains, monsters, and evil forces tell us about ourselves and our darkest desires?

Enter to win two free Newark Museum tickets! Comment with the title that you think will win the Great American Read. Correct guesses will be entered into a drawing. So far these books have been guessed:

Sangeeta | 156 comments i have read 45 out of the 100 of the books...BUT of the hero/villain ones, i've read 11 of 13. the good vs evil plot appeals to me, i suppose.
there was interesting commentary on tuesday night's episode about the reasons why we love these kinds of books.

Funny, that's about how many on the list I have read too.

Has anyone else taken the quiz?

Carol Hance (bijou324) | 11 comments I've read 30+ on the list and you're making me feel like a slacker.

Sangeeta | 156 comments I felt guilty for only reading 45... then I rememberd it includes a lot of YA and 50 shades of grey...so I don't feel too bad 🤣

Karen Thornton (karenstaffordthornton) | 65 comments I’m at 33. And although I’ve read Flowers in the Attic, I have not read Fifty Shades. Nor will I.
