Ideally, I'm looking for a book where the main character studies game design, but anything will do, especially if the student is learning something technical like computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, astronomy, interaction design, and graphic design.
Note that "studying" is different than "researching" or "performing", so books about sports and music performance or running experiments would not be relevant.
