Books were better

I enjoyed both, but I think that's because I watched the movies before I read the books.

BOOK! But again, the movie was amazing as well.

I agree with Kate, the books are always better. The first movie left out a lot that bugged me, such as missing limbs... but the Catching Fire movie was pretty well done, I thought.

I don't blame them for not having some stuff from the books (you can't include EVERYTHING am I right?) I wish Bonnie and Twill were in it though, I liked that part in the book. :P THG 1 movie was great but it could have been so much better! Too much shaky cam!!! CF was stunning! I loved the arena! (I love water/beaches so that's probably why).

I loved both as books and movies. Catching Fire was better than Hunger Games movie though. Just like Catching Fire was the best book for me.

Yeah, I went to a double feature when Catching Fire came out, and that was the first time (after all the times I watched it over that year) I noticed the shaky camera. That was a definite issue.

Lol the shaky camera drove me insane!!!! My best friend majored in film, and I've watched about a million movies with his critics in the background, so I definitely noticed it right off the bat haha.

The book is almost always better and The Hunger Games is no exception. The movie was pretty good though. I didn't come out of either movie feeling unsatisfied which is such a big deal when there are so many books turned to movies that are lacking in things a fan is expecting and wanting to see.

I don't like either, much. Please don't hate me. I just think that it could have been better written and better acted. Everyone's all up on Kirsten Stewart's grill for putting "no emotion into Bella", but Jennifer Lawerence makes Katniss so... stoic. And no, I'm not just a twi-hard bashing the Hunger Games. I have neither seen nor read any twilight books.

In the book, I feel like that's just Katniss' character. Katniss has been through a lot (with taking care of her family) You don't expect someone who has been through so much to be all happiness and rainbows, especially with her being in the games.

I wasn't expecting her to be happy- actually, just the opposite. I was expecting her to be angry. I thought she would be frustrated with the Capital and all the Panem's people. I thought she would want to fight! She did a good job at the end there with Haymitch, when she found out about him and at the beginning when Prim was called. In between, there was nothing!

I liked THG series but Peeta got on my nerves. The first movie was ok, liked the first book, but OH. MY. COCONUTS.
