Good article on economic impetus for Trump's win (and other Economic history) from one of the investors who predicted the 2009 financial crisis:

I agree with the thesis that central banks have a lot of power through the processes of expanding and tightening the supply of credit.

But in a system of fractional reserve banking, any bank can do that too. (to a lesser extent)
