Yeah... He survived a bullet to the head when he was really young. The main character, Dr. Tenma, saved his life. This guy, Johan, killed the director of the hospital, and two other important doctors, after the surgery. No one knew it was him. Nine years later, he's kiling a bunch more people, and no one can find him. The only person who knows is Tenma, and no one believes him because he was the main suspect in the first murders. Johan wants to cause pain and suffering to the entire human race. =P
So, as it turns out, Johan enjoys killing more than Light does. He likes to see people in pain. It makes him happy. Literally, he smiles at even the mention of pain, physical or mental. O_o
Hidan? As in Naruto? Never got to see him... I pretty much skipped everything involving Hidan, Kakuzu, Sasori, Deidara, and any other Akatsuki members who died, up to Itachi. Anyway... Johan isn't immortal, and he has no supernatural way of killing. He just kills. Period. Oh, except for the fact that he can get people to do anything he wants. Almost like a Geass... Apparantly, he got all 50 residents of an orphanage, also including the staff, to kill each other, and he didn't lift a finger.
So far, no. It doesn't really show him killing, except for when he shot someone... Of course, there are bodies after he kills them, which the police find, but it isn't as bad as Elfen Lied.
Yay! You should! :D

The picture next to the description is the wrong picture. It doesn't look like Monster Hunter, it looks like Death Note.

Dr. Tenma has everything he could possibly want; he has a great medical career, a beautiful fiancee, and he's known to his co-workers as a genius. One day, he realizes what the hospital director's goals are, and realizes he's being used for money. He performs a life-saving operation on a young boy, but the mayor dies as a result. He is demoted and shunned, and he loses his fiancee, his friends' respect, and his dignity. Soon after, the hospital director ad the men who took Tenma's place are all killed. Tenma, naturally, is the prime suspect.
9 years later, Tenam is the head of neurosurgery at the hospital. The boy he saved is recovering well, and Tenma himself has his life back on track. Then, more murders start occuring. And the boy isn't what he seems to be...
