Jae (bookishwiccan) | 18 comments Hello my witchy friends;
I am looking to put together a list of books we would all like to see added to our Coven's Monthly TBR. I know there are so many amazing books out there involving magick, witchcraft, as well as those books that can and will teach us more about our crafts.

I've compiled a list of books myself (I have a list on my profile of "witchy reads" I am constantly adding to), but would love to see some added to this list!

So, please leave suggestions in this thread, and we will put a few of the suggestions to a vote each month so we can decide what we would like to read!

Lorraine (lorraineblake) Hey J

Just had a quick gander on your tbr list. I've wanted to read sea witch for so long! There also was a book about Wicca for beginners. I know that many of you are past this but think it would be really fascinating and great for me as I do not practice.

But I am happy to read anything!!

Very excited for the vote.

Hope everyone is well!

Michelle (michelle_reads_books) | 7 comments Just looked at your witchy tbr shelf and am so happy to see The Hollows series on there, I was going to suggest it! I LOVE that series! You've got so many that I've been wanting to read, and even more that look so interesting! I may have missed it if you have it listed, but The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco (I believe) sounds so interesting too. As far as reads dealing with the craft itself, I don't think I've got any suggestions but would love to read anything.

The Dwarf Did It... (thedwarfdidit) I'm picking up The Black Witch next week. Grandma already sent me the sequel lol

Kara Bewley | 1 comments I definitely added some from your list to my TBR! I also recommend the Blue is for Nightmares series, Witches of America, and Practical Magic!

message 6: by Julie (new)

Julie (jooolie) I suggest The Witch of Willow Hall.

Question, are most the books this group will be reading YA?

message 7: by Jae (new)

Jae (bookishwiccan) | 18 comments We can read anything and everything. I've just been on a major YA kick lately. Any suggestions welcome for future read a longs!!

If we do Practical Magic we have to do The Rules of Magic too!

message 9: by Holly (new)

Holly (goldikova) I would like to suggest The Witches of Snyder Farms which is a series I've had on my tbr for some time. Also, Tales from Rugosa Coven is another. I live with a young adult and get enough angst & drama at home, so I'll probably limit my fiction group reads to the adult stuff.

Jae (bookishwiccan) | 18 comments All amazing suggestions; be sure to go check the poll out and add your suggestions as an option and cast your vote!

We'll let the poll run for another week or so, then take the top 5 and go to another vote, combining both our goodreads group here as well as our IG page!

Amanda | 4 comments These are a few on my tbr, Nora Roberts “Year One” & “Dark Witch” Hester Fox “the Witch of Willow Hall” JoAnne Harris “Chocolat” Kris Bradley “Mrs. B’s guide to Household Witchery” “The Witches Daughter” “The Kept” “The Wicked Deep” I’m also reading right now A Discovery of Witches series and am on the 2nd book “Shadow of Night”. I also looked at your tbr and we had a couple of the same books on there, I think Stardust was one. I also read a lot of murder/thriller/mystery and historical fiction books.

Ivy♌ (cerrwidanscauldron) | 5 comments Did we decide on a book? I also wasn't sure where the poll was posted so I could not vote .

Lorraine (lorraineblake) Yes have we picked one? be nice to start one with the Christmas break coming up

message 15: by Jae (new)

Jae (bookishwiccan) | 18 comments My apologies for the delay on the response. The winner of our poll on Goodreads was: The Wicked Deep.

Would everyone like to start it next week, or would we like to move this to a January read since my pre-occupied self forgot to post the winner before December 1st! That way it does give ample time to grab a copy of the book if you don't have it already!

SORRY FOR THE DELAY BOOK WITCHES!!

message 16: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (michelle_reads_books) | 7 comments Looks like it may be better to have it in January. I know I still need to find a copy

message 17: by Jae (new)

Jae (bookishwiccan) | 18 comments From the responses to my group message; January it is. I'll post a schedule up - don't feel pressured to follow it, and we can try to have a weekly discussion if everyone is up for it.

LOL had a good chuckle after reading your comment. Can't blame you there.

Kellie Davies (httpwwwgoodreadscomkelliemdavies) | 8 comments Could I be so bold as to suggest Mabon Book 1 of The Clandestine Chronicles...? Yes, I know I’m being a tad biased here. Yes, I know I wrote it. I could use the feedback as I’m settling into Book 2 Yule after my UK research trip ... anybody? Anybody? Don’t worry I take constructive criticism very well, and would be honored to have my book among the list for your consideration.

Amanda | 4 comments Have we chosen a February book yet?

I would love to read your book. I was actually going to add it you know... strategically in the next wave! As long as you don't mind some constructive criticism. I would have felt bad recommending it if you might be uncomfortable.
Be Bold! Be Awesome!
Thank you for mentioning it!

Sarah ~Goddessofthestory~ (goddessofthestory) Amanda wrote: "Have we chosen a February book yet?"

I believe we were waiting for a final review section of the last book. And I think we were are then waiting till March for a new book. I have not heard anything is awhile.

Kellie Davies (httpwwwgoodreadscomkelliemdavies) | 8 comments Hey guys,
I don’t mind the criticism - you take the bad with the good and I just love knowing that people are reading Mabon and getting to know Lucy. Not everyone here is going to like it, that’s ok, but some people will and I’d be over-joyed to know that I’ve stirred something within.
