Okay, I've never seen this anime but from google about the only thing I don't understand is the ISes. I know what they look like, thanks to google images, but I don't know how they work. Can someone explain that before I do something stupid?

The IS itself is connected to the pilot's brain and nervous system. So it basically grows with you. The IS is your partner, not just a tool.

So I could get a Jarvus suit? Does it talk?

ANd where do I put it when I'm not using it?

1). No it doesn't talk to you.

2). Only those with a personal IS have to worry about that. They usually are watches or necklaces when stowed. They reconstruct around you when called upon.

1). No. That was never even in the canon. If it was in there I would've allowed that.

2). Yea it is, but pilots with a personal IS are rare.

Hmmm... we both kinda know we could make it make sense in the storyline, especially considering the advanced technology. Plus it's even stated that better stuff's being made, but if you say no I won't question it.

That would have to be a 6th generation IS and those are just prototypes in testing, their under heavy guard.

As far as the group's status. I think we're ready for the public.

I have some questions and suggestions before we do anything drastic, guys!

I had way too much time to myself this weekend, and I got to thinking about certain issues with your rules and some areas regarding the IS (Except for the IS-AI, that's fine.)

So here's the set of rules I made yesterday:

Rules Regarding the Group
1. There will be no fighting with other members.
2. You will be tolerant of the other members’ beliefs, gender, orientation, and political opinion.
3. If you have issues with being active regularly, please let a mod know so we can plan around it and not think you abandoned us.
4. The word of a mod is law, and can only be overturned by another mod.

Moderator Rules
1. You will not abuse your power.
2. Just because you are a mod does not mean your characters are auto-approved. If at least six hours pass and your character has not been reviewed, then you may assume they are approved unless told otherwise.
3. While you are capable of taking action that can affect the group, another mod can counter your actions.
4. At any time one of the three original mods (Xander, Yuki, and Shadowy) could revoke your mod priveleges

Roleplay Rules
1. There will be no God-Modding, Meta-Gaming, Force-Hitting, or Power Play of any kind at any time.
2. There will be no unrelated chat in any post in any RP thread. If you are going to say something in the OOC “()” format, then you better contribute to the RP at the same time. At least some environmental thing, like “The wind blew”
3. Keep the language PG-13. The anime was definitely for teens and young adults but kids may be here just the same.
4. Keep the scenery and situations to a respectable level. (PG-13 doesn’t quite fit the show, and neither does R, so…) While the show was definitely for teens and young adults, kids may be here just the same. While character relationships are okay, when things get touchy feely grabby with the fun parts it’s time to fade to black or take it to PM.

Character Rules
1. Each member can have no more than three characters currently.
2. Each member can currently have no more than one character with a Personal IS, however this does not apply to male IS pilots or traps (Females who look like males), as governments and corporations would sponsor them for data collection reasons.
3. There are only three male IS pilots in the entire group. There is currently one male slot that is unclaimed.
4. There are no more than three IS units with an AI core (IS-AI) at any given time. Currently they are the Black Ronin (Shadowy), Open (Open), Open (Open).
5. There will be no Mary Sues. Your character is a person, just as you are. They will have thoughts, feelings, strengths, weaknesses, virtues, and vices, just as you do.

Rules are subject to change with time and without warning. By signing below you agree to follow these rules regardless of how they may change in the future. If you do not sign within a day of joining, you will be removed.

Also, regarding the personal IS units, you told me that it's like one per country, taking that into account with the number of IS cores and the fact that the governments would like sponsor males and "Males", one personal per user would not be an accurate representation. SO maybe country claim, since there are about 100 countries that could likely afford to make IS units in the first place.

Oki XD That would make a whole lot more sense.

That was mainly applying to the personal IS units, since they're more advanced and cost more for a country to manufacture just one.

I've made the group public. We should eventually have a great in flow of members once word of this group spreads.

Also, I did a search. We are the ONLY infinite stratos group on goodreads!

I know we don't actually have that many members, but this lack of general activity aside from Xander, Yuki and I is kinda depressing

I think it might have something to do with how IS goes in a DXD-ward direction pretty early on, but otherwise I don't know

I was able to handle IS.

I couldn't even handle the first few minutes of DXD before I had to click out of it.

Well, IS wasn't as adult-themed (I sat through DXD because of the actual concept, Isse's got too many issues.)
