Book I (ch 1-5)
(view spoiler)[ I'm by no means a zombie book expert, but have read a handful of zombie series and they tend to be more.. without electronics and cars and such. I love the idea of this being focused around bloggers telling the truth, telling stories, and overall being the general public's link to what is happening with the zoms. Also, the character names are a nice touch.

Seanan's writing is always a thing I love and I'm super excited to be starting this series! (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ So usually I avoid books that deal with politics that are in any way similar to real life. I read for escape from life so I don't wanna be stuck with it there too. But I'm really enjoying the campaign so far and seeing it from our POV characters. I do wonder if there is more to Peter and Emily or if they really can be as good of people as they seem. Hoping their girls are ok with how this ended with the attack on the farm. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ HOLY SHIT! Buffy betrayed the hell out of everyone. I kind of saw her death coming just because of her comments about being scared and wanting them to all leave, but had not expected her to be the one who gave access to the Senator's moves and security info.

Also, Emily smacking the Governor?! Yes girl! I think I'm officially 100% on board with her and Peter and no longer doubting them. (hide spoiler)]

I can't believe the author just killed off the main character.. And what a kill off it was.

Not to mention she was beyond technologically skilled and worked so perfectly with them. I’m sad she died and pissed at her.
Honestly I’m just worried somethings going to happen to her brother. I thought he was a goner when he stepped on that glass shard in the barn. (hide spoiler)]

Finished (view spoiler)[Well damn I so she’d some tears with this one, I was so not expecting that. I really thought Shawn would be the one to die not Georgia, and certainly not by being shot by a needle. Also I am livid with the Senator. LIVID. Personally I think he is highly responsible for her death. She came to him and told him she had definitive proof about Tate’s betrayal and he blew her off. She’d never lied to him and he hadn’t no reason to treat her like he did, she was only trying to help and he sent her away and next thing she’s dead. 😭😭 ok but for real, such a good book. Don’t know if I’d read on. Without Georgia I don’t see a further story or truly care especially if it’s Shawn all on his own, my heart hurts just thinking about it. (hide spoiler)]

My cousin said the second book is a pretty good sequel even without Georgia so I'm planning to give it a try but not immediately as I have too many others scheduled lol. (hide spoiler)]
