A small excluded area hidden by trees and dense vines. Inside is a small meadow filled with magical purple fireflies that dance around to the beat of singing and music. If a person were to enter the area, the a firefly will land onto it, sending it's emotions through all the other fireflies as they dance and change color accordingly. For example, is that someone was sad, the fireflies will change to the color blue and slowly move around in small waves. This place is known to very little people and those who know where it is tend to keep it a sacred secret.

Bella watched Syannis crumple in front of her. She relished the look of betrayal on his face. They way he seemed shocked by this outcome. As if he didn’t expect her to do this. She let out a sadistic laugh as Syannis fell to the ground pain blinding his senses.
“What are you going to do now! Your prince is down would you rather save him or go after me!” She yelled her eyes flicking over all those who gathered. The youngest prince, the rebel assassin, the oldest princess, the other rebel then finally her very own apprentice. She gave him almost an accusing look as if questioning his loyalty to her. Would he still stand by her after this or would her very own apprentice backstab her. Bella never wanted him to even be here but, never wanted him to see her do this. Syannis was her own problem and this was not part of his assassin training. Yet here he was watching the darkest side of her come out. Oh well he would have seen it eventually so why not now.
“How important is your prince to you? How badly do you want him to survive. All it is now is a race against time,” she said darkly slowly slipping into the shadows as everyone flocked around the bleeding prince.

Bella slipped away while they were all preoccupied dealing with Syannis. She dashed down the alleyway letting her inbuilt GPS guide her. She had chosen the alleyway for a reason after all. It wasn’t just because she knew it well it was more because there were various escape routes none of the being blatantly obvious. Now despite her injured hand and cut leg Bella still managed to pull herself up onto the rooftop with minimal amounts of pain. With the amounts of discarded boxes and broken buildings down this alley it was decently easy for Bella to drag herself up onto the safety of the roof. Hanzo would follow if he wanted to he should know how she worked by now. Beside she was dumb enough to not bandage her wounds enough so they left a slight blood trail behind as she walked. Little dro[ of crimson dropping with each step she took. Favoring her right leg, Bella worked her way back around leaping a few roof tops which only made her knife wound hurt more. But so be it. Bella wanted out of here but first she needed to see what they were doing to the prick of a prince.

With carefully steps Bella worked her way back towards the group. She shuffled to the roofs edge peering down at the chaos below. Amazingly they weren’t doing much. Bella had assumed they would have already left. Voting to get the unconscious prince to the castle before he bleed out. But no. They clearly seemed quite content with just talking and staring at things. A satisfied grin spread across Bellas face. Something had happened down there to her. As if something was telling her not to kill him. As if there was some good in her telling her his life didn’t need to be taken. For a moment she considered it was her old mentor telling her not to seek revenge for his death. However Bella quickly ignored it and followed through on her action. Yet… She had missed her mark. She had intended to stab him right in the heart ending his life while she was still there. However she had missed. She had been so close to him yet she had still missed hitting him. She’d only delivered a semi fatal blow. However maybe it would be ok being all they help he had seemed quite content in only talking and kissing not actually helping. Bella never understood human love. How could people flirt and kiss with their brother dying right in front of them? And Bella thought she was sick. Plus was pretty sure she had at least hit something vital hopefully the liver maybe a major artery if she was lucky meaning his life would slip away faster in the pools of crimson blood. Bella had seem many people bleed out in front of her. As as assassin she had seen many deaths a lot of them being people bleeding out. She knew how short of a time it took. His wound wasn’t fatal but it would still make him die if they weren't careful. He would be gone just like that. Fast then what they expected. Yet Bella only watched for a small moment before leaving again not needing to see the princes demise. She had done her bit and now had to just hope Syannis died before they got him back to the castle. And by this rate he would. Turning on her heel, Bella leapt across the rooftops jumping from platform to platform each landing sending a new spike of pain though her leg. But necessities were necessities and right now her necessitie was getting away. So never mind the open wound on her leg Bella was much more focused on slipping away into the woods to a place no one would find. She was completely unaware that one of the rebels was missing from the group.

She jumped from the lower rooftop landing in a delicate roll on the ground. She had reached the outskirts now. Very few people went and if they were here they were up to no good. So Bella fit in well. However she didn’t want trouble today. She was stuck with a limp and her hand hurt like heck so she more definitely wasn’t in the best mood. Thankfully though she didn’t run into trouble. A few people looked at her but with snarl and a flash of her blade they back up, letting her past with little complaints. Within seconds Bella had made her way into the forest and was picking her way down a overgrown path. She knew exactly where she was going. A place few knew about and even less went to. She found it by accident one day while she wandered around after her parents died. Upon entering the alcove strange little blue lights flashed around her. And for once Bella found something that even her messed up mind couldn’t comprehend. Slowly this magical place became her escape. She went there often when younger. Always curious as to watch emotion the bugs picked up on. More often than not they changed to a purple, red or green depending on the day. However that was before she was found by the rebellion and she stopped going. Until her mentor died. From there on when Bella was in need to be away she naturally headed towards the little place amongst the fireflies.

Slowly her heart rate slowed, her breaths falling into a more rhythmically pattern. As far as she was concerned she was away from danger the only one who would be pestering her likely being Hanzo but she could tolerate him. Pushing her way through the dense undergrowth, Bella finally found her little sanctuary. Te bugs whirled around her head flashing colourful lights as landed on different things. Slowly the bugs drifted towards her landing on her bare skin. Bella gave a half smile while they crawled up her arms their glowing light slowly changing as they tried to pick her emotion. Bella watched them a moment before shaking them off. They too clearly were confused on her emotions there lights flashing reds, blues, purple and even some yellow in there. Slowly Bella moved through the cloud of coloured lights heading towards the small gleaming pond in the corner. Kneeling dow Bella dipped her hands in the blood washing away the blood on her hand. For the looks of it her right hand had taken the arrow which, annoyingly enough, was her dominate hand. Now any assassin could use both their hands but Bella ,sot definitely wasn’t at capable with her left. While letting the cool water clean out her wound Bella spun a blade between her left hand fumbling every ten seconds thanks to her useless fingers. Bella growled sheathing her blade again before she did anything stupid and setting to wrapping up her wound.

"Bella wait!" Hanzo shouted, and as soon as the words escaped him he knew it was useless. She was gone. The crowd of people approached the fallen prince, closing his path to Bella.
"Excuse me," He said, darting between the people "excuse..." he pushed someone slightly "excuse me..." Frankly, he didn't care much for the prince, and he seemed to have more than enough people caring for him. He was surprised no guards had arrived yet, but he guessed the majority of them were busy with the ongoing riot. Once he arrived to the other side he looked around, trying to find her escape route. He looked up and caught a flash of her hair and sighed. Of course she was on the roof.

Hanzo wasn't...physically gifted per se. He tried, bless his heart, but this was the exact reason why Bella was his mentor. When he learned she would be teaching him the ropes, he was equal parts excited and scared out of his mind. On one hand, he knew she would get down to business and there would be no crap. She'd be ruthless. That was also the reason he was scared out of his mind. But he couldn't and wouldn't complain. If he wanted to contribute something to the rebellion, he had to be trained in weaponry and defense and...climbing buildings apparently.
Well, this was as good time to learn as any.

By the time he arrived to the top he could only see her figure some rooftops away.

Now he had to jump from the rooftop? This was just great.

Hanzo wished he could call out to her, but 1) that would only reveal their position to royal guards and 2) he was too out of breath each time he ran and jumped that he wouldn't be able to get a word out even if he tried.

Finally, after what seemed like hours, Hanzo saw Bella jump down to ground level, and he thanked the gods. Sweat dripped from his arms and forehead, his hair slightly damp, and his shirt almost soaked. He jumped down, startling a woman and a child with his pants and huffs, and he raised his hands to reassure them. He had no intention or energy really to hurt anyone. He looked up to see Bella enter the forest, and sighed. Where was she going?

"Bella!" He shouted when he entered the woods, scrambling to follow her. Hanzo was hoping she would hear him and slow down, but she either couldn't hear him or didn't care (both equally as likely). The forest was cold and dark and it was getting darker as they moved farther and farther in. Finally, he saw her disappear between some vines, and when he entered his mouth hung open in amazement.

He had never seen something as beautiful and wonderful in his life. Hundreds, if not thousands of small fireflies fluttered around them, and he observed with a smile how they posed themselves on Bella, as if they were old friends. It was strange how she could be deadly and ruthless and maniacally stabbing princes one moment, and delicate enough to hold a firefly the next.

He walked slowly to her, not wanting to startle her. "Bella?" He whispered, feeling as if the magic atmosphere of the fireflies would break the moment he spoke up. He saw her cleaning a wound, and the pond at her feet going dark. "Bella? Are you hurt?" He said, alarmed.

And yeah probably not Syannis would only really tell those with most authority over the rebels and people like Bella who worked with him once for things like assassination plans and communication strategies and what not.))

He pushed his way through shrubbery and vines, until he came upon a unusually thick patch of vines blocking his way. As he weaved his way through, he heard a voice that called out to Bella, and paused. Eh awaited a response, then pulled himself up the tree next to him. Kai found an opening in between the leaves, and watched the interaction.

Xwft | 204 comments ((Excuse Bella being a right prick in the last few paragraphs I really do love Hnazo but Bella has mixed emotions.))

Truth be told Bella stopped focusing on the things around her as she ran her wounded hand though the water. Crimson clouded the water before trailing off in wisps as it blended with the rest of the water. For the first while the cold water stung her wound but slowly it got used the the chill. In fact the cold water numbed her hand stopping any pain there could have been. While she let her hand drift through the water, Bella set to tearing strips of cloth from her coat. She liked her coat, it was the nicest one she got. But necessities were necessities, as her mentor used to say, and she needed it for her wounds. She she bled to death keeping her coat nice would be useless. Beside she could always get another.

The fireflies floated around her their lights still unable to decide on a set emotion for her. Bella used their light to tear the cloth and start wrapping it around her hand thanks to the lack of light getting through the dense canopy. As she worked some brave ones landed on her shoulders their little lights blinking as if they were talking to her. The corner or Bellas lips turned up into a faint smile at the bugs relentless desire to annoy her. Lifting her finger up she got one to crawl onto her hand it’s little antena twitching as he crawled up her palm. It’s little legs tickled her bare skin and it climbed up her arm towards it’s buddies on her shoulder. Bella let out a sigh and shook her head before going back to wrapping the rustic slips of cloth around her damaged hand. Bugs were so weird. Guess that's why she liked them so much.

With her hand decently clean and covered and the fireflies still crawling with the multicolored lights up her back, Bella set to fixing her leg. The wound wasn’t as deep as ones she had gotten before. It was done but the youngest prince and he didn’t have the most experience in knife wielding by the looks of it. So it had only sliced ehr skin and not actually gotten embedded. Well as it also missed a major artery thank gosh. However it was still a decent wound, one that would have her limping for a few days. Realistically Bella should take it slow for the week but screw that. She could fight left handed… kinda. So Bella just soaked the cloth stips in the water before wrapping them around her leg pulling them tight to cease the blood flow despite the pain. She was mostly done when she heard a noise right behind her. Well more accurately someone call her name but it still made Bella jump a few meters in the air. Being, clearly unknowingly, they had aporced from her side right. She spun around drawing her blade with lighting speed and held the tip to the new arrivals throat. Fireflies shot to the sky as if attempting to get away from the chaos. Her hand wobbled slightly ot used to holding a blade but she still held steady not wanting to seem weak or in need.

However, upon seeing it was just Hanzo Bella snarled and lowered her weapon.
“You unconscionable imbecile what do you think you are doing!” She snapped her gaze deadly her hand playing with the blade, getting use to the weight and feel of it in the wrong hand. “You should know better,” Bella snarled her heart still beating faster then usual. Of all people why was it Hanzo that crept up on her blind side.
She turned her back on him ignoring his last question. Of course she was frickin hurt where else did he think the blood came from the fireflies? She blew out a annoyed breath as she finished the knot around her leg. Blood already began seeping through but there wasn’t nearly as much as before so she was fine. She said nothing more until her wound was fully sorted, only then did she turn back to Hanzo. The fireflies were now more confused than before. The basically flashed every colour of the rainbow and were now rather reluctant to land on her. For good reason to. She couldn’t stand still her leg refusing to take its share of her weight and left hand still hated the feel of the blade. She blew out a breath flicking strands of matted hair out her face as she studied Hanzo.
“You know what…” She said slowly her critically gaze flicking over his febell form.
His top was drenched in sweat despite it being cold out and his breaths seemed to be coming faster then normal indicating he was tired. It was pathetic really. She could run along the rooftops with an injured leg and hand when he couldn’t do it without even a single liability. Sometimes she thought she was the only sane capable one in tis woe gosh forsaken city.
“When was the last time we fought?” She said a dangour gleam dawning in her eye.
Bella wasn’t one to beat people up for no reason, even if she was angry. However she had a very good reason to beat Hanzo up, especially now she wasn’t in a great mood.
“Here,” she tossed him a long bladed dagger.
It wasn’t he best dagger she had, hence why she had given it to Hanzo. The dagger she had was one of her favorites. It to had a long blade, sitting around 9-10 inches. It’s handle being made of polished ebony. The blade itself was sharpened to the finest so it glinted in the lights of the firefly. However the thing that set her blade apart from Hanzo's was her curve in the blade. A sleck curve the in the blade making it look even more menacing.
((My refrance pic https://i.pinimg.com/originals/ea/33/...))
“We fight, let's see if you have improved since last time. However you to have to use you not dominant hand,” she grinned backing up a bit so there was some space between them as the fireflies cleared around her wanting know part in this battle. “If you win I will do whatever you want for the rest of today. If I win… well that’s yet to be decided.” Bella loved making competitions of things it added another level of excitement to things if the threat of injury wasn’t bad enough.
“Right. Give it all you got. Don’t, disappoint me,” she said turning to face him her knife out stretched. Just waiting, and completely oblivious to the other pair of eyes watching.

Hanzo almost jumped ten feet when Bella whipped around with a knife in her hand.

He raised his hands in defense. "WHOA, whoa, whoa, it's me!" He said, half and half sure that she wouldn't hurt him. His already tired heart began to beat faster in alarm. It was on him, startling her like that, it was Bella after all, the rebel assassin, talented and deadly but also a little crazy.

Okay maybe more than a little.

Hanzo took a breath once she lowered her weapon, thankful she didn't decide to teach him a lesson right there and then. He watched her bandage her wounds, shifting his weight, unsure if he should reach out and help her. He wanted to, but he could bet anything she wouldn't be too happy about that.

Hanzo didn't like that look Bella gave him, looking him up and down like a sick cow. He knew he looked the part, but he really had been trying! He hadn't joined the rebellion that long ago, and while he was strong (years of being a blacksmith's apprentice will do that to you) he was far from being the soldier he wanted to become.
"Uh...we haven't fought in a while...?" He asked, unsure of where the conversation was going. Hanzo gave a quick look around again. Did she think they had been followed? Should he be on alert? Hanzo's mind began to run a mile a minute, wondering what he could use as a weapon in a place as beautiful as this, and for a second got distracted with the lights and the trees when he was brought back to reality with Bella's voice.

He tried to catch the dagger. Really, he did. But he preferred to let it hit the floor than have him hurt himself before they even started fighting. That would've been embarassing.

"O...ok..." He said, picking up the dagger and holding it with his left hand, moving the handle around until he was comfortable. Her bet made him smile. "That sounds like an excellent challenge" He replied with a grin, setting his battle stance.

Boy, he really hoped he didn't disappoint her.

Xwft | 204 comments ((Lol alg. No I can’t do fight scenes very well either so e might have Bella do something a little different. There are different types of training after all. ))

Bella raised an eyebrow watching her dagger clatter to the ground. Her dagger, the one she spent ages sharpening and polishing, fall into the mud. She dropped her shoulders with a sigh her jaw tightening as Hanzo bent down and picked it up.
“No respect for anything,” she muttered waiting as Hanzo picked up the muddy blade, gripping it in his left hand.
“I’m glad you approve,” she said bitterly so he knew she wasn’t out to please him.
Bella didn’t even wait for him to get ready before she slowly started circling him like a shark in the water. Her blade gleaming in the fragments of coloured light, her eye daking with a deadly gleam. There was little challenge in fighting someone you already knew well. She had fought Hanzo some many times she knew how he worked. Knew what moves he preferred and where about his weak points were. Most importantly she knew what to avoid doing. Where his main defences were and what he could do surprisingly well. It had taken many fights for her to figure this all out and she was still learning things about him and his fighting style. The more she knew the better she could train him after all. She already knew that had very different fighting styles then her making her job increasingly harder but also much more interesting. Teaching someone something you didn’t know was hard. He was a decent apprentice if not a bit to kind but he learnt fast enough sometimes surprising her, doing something she didn’t think he could or would do. But the fundamental basics were all the same and that’s what Hanzo needed to learn.

Smart boy.
Bella thought as Hanzo refrained from attacking her clearly not willing to make the first move. In this case it was smart for him. Defending was easier than attacking and Hanzo was at much more at an disadvantage having to use his less dominant hand. So letting her make the first move was smart even if, to her, it seemed that Hanzo would be better at full out assaults the lying back. Him making a first move fast would unnerve whoever he was fight giving him an advantage. With his physical strongness he would be good at hand to hand if he just trained himself to control it and built up the stamina. Bella just feared she wouldn’t be able to help him in this case. She wasn’t good at brute force much perfreing it slip in finish the job and slip out without anyone seeing her. Well, nevermind that right now she had a very good lesson to teach him here that would affect him no matter what situation he found himself in.

Feeling confident that Hanzo wasn’t going to make the first move, Bella took her eyes off him a moment surveying her surroundings. Not having two eyes was a right pain. She couldn’t watch her opponent and look around at the same time. Hence why she liked stealth. Stealth took keen observation but not the same type as in face to face. But now she was here and it was quite a good place to practice in. The low hanging branches, dense vines and even the water could be a weapon if used right. Most importantly what was under her feet. A mix between dirt and wet moss. Perfect. Flicking her eyes back to Hanzos, Bella spun her knife around her fingers, cutting graceful arcs through the air. A dangerously confident smile dawned her face as she as she did just a little bit of showing off. She said nothing just watched Hanzo for a moment taking slow steps in a circle. She knew he was strong. If he got hold of her she was screwed unless she actually wanted to kill the boy. Which, thankfully, she didn’t. All she need to do was get him in the right position and everything should run smoothly from there.

Bella waited a minute or two before doing anything. Unlike real battle they had as much time as they wanted and Bella was going to use that. However after a few minutes as she got Hanzo in just the right position Bella finally made her move. Blade outstretched, Bella ran at Hanzo closing the gap in a few favored steps the tip of her dagger pointed right at his heart. Thought, right at the last minute, Bella ducked under Hanzos arm using the damp moss as a sort of slide. In one fluid motion, using her all her built up momentum, Bella flicked her blade in a careful arc up the side of his leg as she straightened up. Continuing on her assault she spun on her heel aiming a sidekick to the back of his knee in order to make him buckle. All which was done in a smooth motion in a well practised speed and with careful precision. She didn’t want to hurt Hanzo if she could help it. Well at least not permanently anyway, a little pain was necessary in life if you were going to get anywhere. Backing up a few steps to survey how Hanzo had taken to her onslaught, Bella held her blade ready for a retaliation her stance confident but careful favoring her wound. With wounds you had to act fast and efficient. Ending the fight before it even started or your risked making your wounds worse. So hopefully she did enough damage to Hanzo to make her point clear. Hopefully she also managed to do what she planned so she could teach him a little lesson on strategy.

Hanzo hated the waiting game. He could feel the drops of sweat running down his temples as Bella sized him up. He knew he was less than an amateur for her, but he liked to think he had gotten better. He learned that he could put all that upper body strength to good use, and hand-to-hand combat he could pin down his opponent in less than five minutes.

But this was a swordfight, a completely different game. Bella was talented with knifes and daggers, and if he wanted to be better, he had to learn from the best, which often meant getting injured. Not often, constantly. Hanzo scrunched his eyebrows in concentrations as she smiled. It all came so easy to her, the mocking, the fighting, the stealth. Against her, Hanzo felt like an elephant in roller skates.

And then she struck. He thought she was moving towards his chest, but in the last minute changed direction and in one fluid motion made a cut on the side of his leg and pushed him to his knees. Hanzo groaned as he hit the floor, muttering a curse under his breath. He was much taller than her, and he knew she was much more nimble and fast. He was staring down at the muddy ground, watching a line of blood drip down his leg. Only a few minutes had passed since he had agreed to fight her, but he knew there was no way he was going to beat her in a swordfight. Maybe he had to change his strategy.

"Bella," He groaned, looking up in exaggerated pain. "Wait," he pleaded with his right hand and stuck the sword to the ground, using it to hold his weight. "Something's wrong..."

Xwft | 204 comments Bella eyed Hanzo watching him as he crumpled to the ground a trail of blood forming on his calf. She expected him to get back up. To try again only for her to knock him down again. Bella was an assassin of stealth yet, she liked to play with her pray. To keep them alive and watch the scurry around like little mice. Hanzo was the same if not more entertaining cause he actually tried. Tried to actually to attack and stand up for himself. Yet he kept failing. Kept messing up. She admired how when he got knocked down he still got back up. His main flaw was unable to balance strength and nimbleness. In fact he was a bumbling fool when it came to being nimble and quick which was a big problem if he wanted to learn to fight. Even if he didn’t want to be an assassin nimbleness was a necessity. Yet Bella guessed that was why she was stuck with him. To teach him a little lesson. Right now though he failed and noticing what she was trying to show him. Well she guessed it would just take a little more time. To bad Bella got impatient.

She watched in interest as Hanzos face twisted into a look of pain. She winced as he stuck her knife into the ground, that was a few hours of sharpening and polishing wasted. Maybe his next task would be to clean the blades he ruined. That would teach him for dropping them and getting them muddy. Though, despite her annoyance at him ruining her blade, she did notice how he leaned on it letting it take his weight. He really did seem to be in pain. She cocked her head to the side much like that or a bird as she contemplated her next reaction. Was Hanzo being serious or was he just pretending? She had seen things like this happen before, people playing dead to try trick her or acting weaker than they really were. She learnt quick not to fall for it. To stab them again, to not letting them get the upper hand. Yet she felt slightly worried for Hanzo. She didn’t want to kill him like she did most others. Just a slightly reminder of what could happen. She was an assassin but it was entirely possible she slipped….. A slow smile spread across Bellas face before she let out a raspy laugh. A strange sort of noise forming on her lips being Bella wasn’t one to laugh much.
“Tell me Hanzo why is it that the most important parts of a human are the ones so easily destroyed?” She asked pacing around him with slow calculating steps. “If they were considered so important then why with a simple flick of blade can they be damaged?” Bella paused, running her tongue over her lips a all to pleased gleam in her eye. She watched the blood run down Hanzo's leg, the crimson droplets mixing with the muddy ground. yet made now move to stop it. The mess of blood his the severity of the wound but judging by the amount it can’t have been to deep.
“You got lucky. One little slip and your hamstrings would be sliced in two. Then you wouldn’t be able to walk,” she stopped in front of him her smile a sadistic sort of grin, “and not being able to walk. Means your dead.”

The thought that Bella could have permanently damaged Hanzo played on her mind. Maybe she could have gotten to carried away. She could have slipped, dug in a little to deep a little to far and forever disabled her own student. Yet it was her way to weed out the weakest. There is no reason to waste valuable time training someone who was going to die anyway. So if Hanzo died because of this he would have died so much worse in battle. This would be a mercy. Eventually the more merciful side of her won. He was tasked with training Hanzo and training him meant keeping him alive long enough to learn. Stopping her pacing Bella knelt in front of Hanzo subtly making sure to keep the majority of her weight off her bad leg. The curved blade resting carefully in her hand, the point stained with crimson. Her body tense ready but waiting like a dormant volcano, ready to burn those who got to close. A curious look danced in her eye her crystal gaze skimming over his wound yet still not reacting.
“A little pain is good for people Hanzo,” she said simply, “if you scream at a paper cut then you have no hope in battle. But tell me what is wrong?” Bella asked both her eyes staring right at him, almost through him yet only one actually seeing. Her milky white iris reflecting light from the fireflies the pale pink scar cutting down it always plaguing her with her disability. Maybe that’s were she got her fraction of sympathy for Hanzo from. She knows what it’s like.
