Historical Fictionistas discussion

Carr was a prolific author of detective novels from the '30s through the '70s (!!). Notably, he set many of them in the past... my favorite is "Devil in Velvet." It's a novel with tremendous attention to detail, and the one that introduced me to Historical Fiction.
