Rosie (heckos) | 15 comments I'm trying to figure out the title and author(s) of a book that my mother bought for our family. It was probably about 2010 and the book was not published very long before.

It was called something simple like "House", "The House", or "A House", which makes Googling it very difficult. Another layer of difficulty is added with the fact that it has few to no words in it, the story being told entirely through the very detailed illustrations of the house that fill each page. The story of the book is basically the construction and history of the house through time, and the illustrations are pretty naturalistic, with lots of browns and greens used.

Was this picture book intended for children or adults?

I'm fairly sure it's intended audience is children, but I remember the illustrations being very complex and beautiful so it's not a very fluffy "read". I mostly want to be able to see them again as a young adult and artist.

EDIT: Sorry, just saw your suggestion! Nope, not the one I'm thinking of.

Glad you found your book, Rosie.

I moved your request to a Solved folder by clicking the small "edit" beside the topic header - on the full desktop website (not the mobile app).
