Mengxuan Gu 5121 The Round House is an excellent book that makes us think about the history of the inequitable era for Native American people. A white man rape a Native American woman. That gives rise to change the life of the family. When a boy has to think about in an adults' way, that will influence himself a lot. It is a painful process for a young boy that he has to help his family at a young age. But he is finding the justice, which is what we still looking for right now. We also can feel the feeling under the unfair law between white people and Native American people. How Native American people try their best to revolt the unfair. Except for the story, we also can find the characteristic that the author wants to tell us. Let's think about it deeply. When we have emotions for the narrator's experience, is there are same emotions we have when we want to find the truth? Did we also drain our bad feelings out after we read this book? This book is not a happy story, but we know that the narrator and his father did not stop finding the justice for his mother. However, it is hard. It is unfair to the Native American people, even though for a woman. When a young child is trying to understand what happened and even though he still cannot know since he grows up to be an adult. When a person is under the misunderstanding in a wrong age, the result it could be terrible, like we can read the happened in this book. This book also saves the real life of Native American people in that era, life is getting better right now, but is there still has some problem right now? When we go back to the reality, what we can do for those people and our self if these happen happened around us?
