Hi everyone! My name is Ashley and I love memoirs that have some humor attached. I’m known for my raw but inviting essays. I try to capture the intricacies of my everyday life while living with a flood of mental illnesses. I openly share my intimate journals from psychiatric stays, moments trying to find the sunlight, and the callous feeling of not wanting to be here anymore. Peeing in foam cups and ruminating for hours about catching pedophilia is just a tiny glimpse into my sometimes-manic life. I share my stories in a very direct way that will only make you feel more compassionate to those who are touched by this light. I wrote Separate Things: A Memoir, to help others like myself, allowing empathy to flow through my words. Find me on Facebook (facebook.com/separatethingsmemoir) and Instagram (@separate_things_memoir). Separate Things: A Memoir
