Only two countries can compete in each tennis match. A match diagram will be posted shortly.
One country is selected as the serving team (by a coin toss). The serving team begins the match by posting a quote from a piece of literature (aka, a published book - no self promotions from authors, please). To return the ball, the opposing team must correctly identify the speaker of the quote and book where the quote was found. Looking up the quotes on Google or any other search engine is considered cheating and could result in a country's disqualification from the Olympics.
After an answer is provided, the referee will post whether the answer is correct or incorrect. If it is incorrect, the team who posted the quote will receive a point (yes, we will be using tennis scoring), and the serving team will post a new quote. If the question is answered correctly, the team that provided the correct answer will post a quote, and so forth. We will rely on the best of 3 matches to identify a winner for each round.
