I'm on chapter 30 and I'm really liking it so far. The story takes a new twist with every chapter and I find that quite intriguing. I honestly feel bad for Catherine as she's at a stage in her life where nothing is going the way she wants it to and things just keep getting more and more messed up for her. She can neither deny the king's proposal as her family's reputation would be at stake nor can she accept it as she just isn't ready for it and it's more like she's forced to get married to him and become the queen of hearts. And her parents' refusal to open her bakery is the icicng on the cake

Don't feel sorry! Your opinion is really good and interesting.
I agree- Catherine is in such a bad position. What makes it worse is that it’s not like her family is poor. She doesn’t HAVE to marry the king in order to secure her future. Her parents are infuriating!
Her mom is especially awful. I mean, who wants to marry a short, annoying dude who seems to have no redeeming qualities other than being king?! So not worth it!!!!
Exactly! Her parents don't seem to understand her and her problems . They should let her pursue her dream of being a Baker rather than force her to marry a person she doesn't love.

My God, the words he used. Hatta was right though. She should’ve dismissed the King or Jest long ago. As for the turtle, I do believe it was the dessert. Peter Peter knows that too. I just wanna know more about him, his wife and that noise she heard there.

I now think something really is wrong with Mrs. Peter. Could she be that beast? She was not seen at her home either.
