I primarily order books from Amazon.com.. I don't love their site plus they've jinxed/messed me up a couple times.
I occassionally shop on bookoutlet.com and B&N.com.

I'm a Barnes and noble member so I can get cheaper online prices for new releases, but someone from goodreads told me about thriftbooks.com and its the best thing that ever happened to me!! good condition used books for dirt cheap and free shipping in the U.S. so now I get 3 books for what I used to pay for 1!!!
Some books I order in from the local library, some from the local bookshop and the rest from Amazon. It varies really but actually a lot of the books I read are either birthday/christmas presents or someone in my family already owns them in which case I will just borrow it from them.
Since I've gotten my Kindle, I usually just get ebooks. It helps me out a lot, because there is only one book store in my area and it takes about 30 to 40 minutes to get there due to traffic. I have ordered ebooks from Amazon, Barnes and Nobles, and Kobo. I wouldn't have enough space in my home for all the books I want. I'm happy with the stores above and constantly looking for more sites.
I use either Wordery, Bookdepository or amazon marketplace from wordery or bookdepository. That's the cheapest for me
I have ordered from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Book Outlet.
My grandma sometimes gets books for me from Ebay.

95% of the time I get my books from Amazon. But there were times I bought books from Barnes & Noble and Hastings because I was in the store at the time and I saw a book I wanted.
Well I'm never using Book Outlet again. They are trying to tell me that it's my fault that they charged me for a book they didn't have.
They confirmed the order and charged me, so I'm angry. And now the book is showing up as a scratch and dent. I think they dropped it and figured they would try to sell it again.

I've never heard of Waterstones.

Has anyone here ordered from The Book Depository? I'm considering it because it has free worldwide shipping and just wanted to check if anyone had any feedback :)

I think Irene said that she does. She's got a post up there somewhere.

@Connie I have. A lot of times. I've never had any problems, I once got a book that didn't look too good, so they just send me a new one

Waterstones is a book selling branch in the UK :)
I get most of my books from the library. I mean, FREE books! Can't get much better than that. But when I do buy books, it's from Books-a-Million. I always spend too much money when I go in there...

I mostly get ebooks from Amazon for my kindle. Otherwise, I either buy hardcovers from Amazon or Barnes and Noble. I've looked at The Book Depository but it seems so expensive compared to other sites even with the free shipping.
That must be why. It's more than half price than Danish books. It's more like 1/4 of the price on Danish books..
xD that is really nice! Whenever I order from Amazon, I'm always surprised about how much shipping costs now.

I always order three books at a time to get free standard shipping.

Kind of. As long as the order from Amazon (not the MarketPlace) is $35 or more, it qualifies for free shipping. I usually get there with three books.

You're pretty lucky. I've had brand new books arrive damaged or they charged me the wrong prices. They even yelled at me when I called customer service when they wrongly charged me for overnight shipping when I chose standard. I just order from them because they have the best prices for now...
My sister's ex just got a job with them, and there are some major changes going on. I'm not sure what he'll be doing, but he said he'd keep her updated.
I do know that their prices won't be the cheapest for much longer. They are planning on stocking very few copies of books and charging full prices, so I am trying to order as many as I can until the changes start.

My local news team investigated Amazon Prime, and the only people who really benefit from it are people who own their own businesses or college students. I'm sure that the fee would pay for itself with me with free shipping, but I always qualify for it, so it's not worth it.

Yeah. I hope a lot of the publishers kind of stick it to them. Amazon is just going to go downhill if it happens. It's already happened with one major publisher, and it makes me angry. Like I love being able to get discounted books like that. Oh well. I guess Target is the next best thing.

I think it's fairly new. I also think Barnes and Noble does it too.

I get most of my books from Amazon because I have a kindle but I love shopping for hardcover/paperback books at book stores.
