Kevin Doyle (kevindoyle1) | 7 comments This book was written, illustrated and produced in Ireland. It's for kids although adults love it too. Here's the blurb:

“Their lives are turned upside down when a luxury golf course invades their headland. The worms try to negotiate but their efforts are met with insecticide. Our long, wriggly friends have had enough! They decide to take action… "

The book arose out of a campaign here in Ireland where a luxury golf course took up residence on a known public walking area and turned it into an exclusive area just for golfers - and very rich ones at that. Trump has been involved in similar activity elsewhere in Ireland and in Scotland.

Our book is about solidarity, community, standing up for your rights and helping save the environment. Over the next number of weeks we will offer free copies for honest reviews ...

Please message me. We are offering TWO books to begin with.

[Please note that this book is for kids and/ or adults who are familiar with reading to or with kids. Many thanks!]

Derek Minno-Bloom | 12 comments Dear Kevin,

We loved the book. Thanks so much for writing it. Here is our honest review that we posted on good reads:

I asked my 3 1/2 year old River what they thought of the book after we read it before bed, River said,
"I liked the book because it is a very nice book because all the worms are nice and save the world and when the mean guys don't save the world, they get a truck and dig up the world because they want to make mean money." When i asked River what the worms did together he said that, "they collaborated and that worms are important too!"

As a 34 year old parent i loved reading this book to my child. It is hard to find political books for young children. This book believes that young children can understand a lot, but is also beautiful, filled with colors and a really fun adventure for all ages.

After the book was over i got to tell river about the Oka Crisis, which was when First Nations people of "Canada" said no to a golf course and saved their land.

River wanted to type a message for this review as well. Here it is:

Kevin Doyle (kevindoyle1) | 7 comments Hi Derek and River. Many thanks for the wonderful review and comments. River, thanks to you in particular for your comments and message. I will pass these on to the worms and I know they will be delighted! Derek I didn't know about the Oka Crisis and the First Nation struggle - aagh! Have just looked it up. Amazing and inspiring. It is great to know about. It has been a lovely thing to find the book connects up with people right around the world who, all in their own way, are taking on injustice. Thanks once again. K
