34 - a book that includes a wedding
Pretty much any classic book has a wedding in it somewhere - Jane Austen, the Brontes, Dickens etc usually end with a marriage
The Wedding Date was one of my faves from this year. Crazy Rich Asians also centers around attending a wedding if anyone hasn't read it yet.
A lot of books based on fairy tales could fall under this prompt too. My pick is The Goose Girl, based on the fairy tale of the same name.
Lethal White starts with a wedding... I meant to read it but I may wait until next year now!Outlander has a wedding, and so does A Storm of Swords....
The Return of the King has a wedding which is perfect for my planned reread of The Lord of the Rings.
I thought at first this would be super easy, but a lot of books (even some of the ones mentioned, like Jane Austen) don't usually include the wedding in the story, just the engagement. If you like Christian romance there's Spring's Gentle Promise and A Common Life: The Wedding Story.
The Puppet Masters is a classic sci-fi that includes a wedding.
I may just fall back on re-reading one of these, unless I happen upon something in my spontaneous reading next year.

That's my plan for this prompt.
Unfortunately I already read The Wedding Date! That would have been perfect. Almost all historical romances end with a wedding (and tbh that kind of bugs me and I'm often hoping they DON'T get married right aways! alas ... they do) so I guess this is a gimme for me.
I've Got Your Number is a quick fun read. I never got around to reading Save the Date by Morgan Matson so I'll save it for this one!
There's a wedding, apparently, in The Well of Ascension, book 2 of Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn Trilogy.
Nadine wrote: "Unfortunately I already read The Wedding Date! That would have been perfect. I think I will try to reserve it for 2019 though, if not here than somewhere else on the list!
Well, well, well, I'm reading Crazy Rich Asians right now and the only other weddings I can think of in books I own are: Jane Eyre and perhaps the most infamous wedding that never took place: Miss Havisham's in Great Expectations
The Wedding by Dorothy West works well for this prompt, you could also use it in the prompt for two books with the same title, since there seems to be at least one other book with its title.
More ideas:* The Member of the Wedding by Carson McCullers
* A Wedding in December by Anita Shreve
* A Wedding to Die For by Leann Sweeney
* Prelude to a Wedding by Patricia McLinn
* Wedding Duress by Elizabeth Lynn Casey
Marianne wrote: "My Brilliant Friend has a photo of wedding on the cover so that's what I plan to read."Yes! That's a wonderful book, and will fit the prompt. Hope you enjoy!
Marianne wrote: "My Brilliant Friend has a photo of wedding on the cover so that's what I plan to read."I thought of this also Marianne. It was the first thing that came to mind, but I think I'm going to try The Wedding Date.
I believe the Westons marriage (Her governess) is in Emma or is it just the party afterwards? I actually read it this year and I can't remember.Really trying to think of some.
@Ruba I don't remember there being one in Mansfield Park even though one of the cousins marry the wealthy boring guy.
I do have some but they are all contemporary romance:
Any Man of Mine
Call Me Irresistible
The Shadow Sister
Surrender to the Highlander (historical romance)
Heartbreaker
All I Ever Need Is You
Denise wrote: "I'm curious about Crazy Rich Asians (though I heard the movie was bad) so I'll try that one."It's not the typical book I read but I found it to be a fun read. Very soap opera-ish and one I needed to be in the right mood but I enjoyed it as a palate cleanser between some heavy books. I am a "foodie" so I really loved the descriptions of all the awesome food they ate as well.
Something New: Tales from a Makeshift Bride is a graphic novel by Lucy Knisley. That will probably be my choice for this prompt.
I really liked Save the Date, it's not really romantic, it's more about family and things going wrong.
A Place for Us is about a family gathering for a wedding? Can anyone who has read this confirm that it will work?
The Substitute The Player The Gambler I enjoyed this series they were pretty funny all have to do with weddings.
Jennifer wrote: "Does anyone know if Our Kind of Cruelty by Araminta Hall includes a wedding?"Yes it does!
Does anyone know if you see the wedding at the beginning of A Bollywood Affair? (I'm trying to find books already on my TBR.)
Ellie wrote: "I really liked Save the Date, it's not really romantic, it's more about family and things going wrong."I love this one too. Its more about their chaotic family than anything else, and I just fell in love with the family :)
If anyone is caught up the Flavia duLuce series , the next one is set at wedding The Golden Tresses of the Dead and is set to published January 2019.
I loved Crazy Rich Asians. Going for China Rich Girlfriend for this prompt because I want to glut myself on the drama.

Thank you!
Once and for All by Sarah Dessen..... It's about a wedding planner. Does anyone know if there's an actual wedding in it?

Love Nora Roberts and the Bride Quartet! Might be time for a reread!
Milena wrote: "A Place for Us is about a family gathering for a wedding? Can anyone who has read this confirm that it will work?"Yes! There's definitely a wedding in A Place for Us.
Tara wrote: "Milena wrote: "A Place for Us is about a family gathering for a wedding? Can anyone who has read this confirm that it will work?"Yes! There's definitely a wedding in [book:A Place..."
Thank you, Tara. It's one of the many books I hoped to read this year but didn't have time.
Hayley wrote: "Anyone know if there is an actual wedding in Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier?"Hi Hayley, there's no wedding actually depicted in Rebecca. That's even one of the intriguing elements at the beginning of the story.
