Norman Cook (normcook) | 16 comments The illustrators for Black Hammer, Vol. 3: Age of Doom Part One are incorrectly attributed. The correct illustrators are Dean Ormston, Dave Stewart, and Todd Klein.

Emily | 17799 comments I added the ones you mentioned, which are also on the book cover. I have removed the Research and Education "author" that was incorrect.
Are Clem Robins and D'Israeli incorrect? For now, I have moved them to the bottom of the author list since they are not on the front cover.

Norman Cook (normcook) | 16 comments Clem Robins and D'Israeli are incorrect. I think whoever originally created this entry just made up names for some reason. All of the creators are listed on the book's cover. Thanks for taking care of this.

Scott | 11016 comments Clem Robins and Todd Klein are both letterers. D'Israeli is an illustrator but he does not seem to have been involved with this series.

Emily | 17799 comments Amazon and Ingram both list them and not the others, which is why they were imported (and not the others).
Do letterers count as authors like illustrators, or do they have to be in the description like cover art?

message 6: by Scott (new)

Scott | 11016 comments I don't think they should be included.

message 7: by Emily (new)

Emily | 17799 comments Thank you. I will remove them later tonight, unless someone tells me otherwise.

message 8: by Scott (new)

Scott | 11016 comments It is done.

Norman Cook (normcook) | 16 comments I thought it was unusual to list a letterer, but the book lists him on the cover, which is why I included him. Thanks for making all the corrections.

Scott | 11016 comments Yeah I thought that was odd. I wonder if there might be some additional material that he designed.

message 11: by Emily (new)

Emily | 17799 comments Thanks. Perhaps there was planned involvement that was changed.

Norman Cook (normcook) | 16 comments I think that there is a growing recognition that letterers, especially someone like Todd Klein who has been the best in his discipline for over 40 years, contribute a lot to the look of a book. They do a lot more than just put in the word balloons.

I agree. I have added him to the book description field.
We have to be really careful at following the Goodreads guidelines for what can be put in the author fields and what has to be put in the book description (like cover artists). His name being on the cover of the book is important.
A moderator would need to make a judgment call on whether his name can be in an author field for Goodreads cataloging purposes.

If you want to voice your opinion on it for Goodreads staff to consider, I would post in the Feedback group! :-)
