Dark Places discussion

GUYS!! This sounds really insane...but I read a book of a friend's over the weekend...I honestly cannot remember the plot line...all I remember is that it had trees and a house on the front cover. AND it was a rather dark read...please do not ask me how I don't remember the story...lol

Just finished this. Not sure if you were looking for someone to help jog your memory. Girls 2 sisters and mom were murdered when she was a child and she was able to get away. Her brother was accused. She is an adult and a club that looks into murders reaches out to her to pay her to look into the murder as they don't believe her brother did it. She starts asking questions from people from her past and finds out how her family really died. Don't want to spoil who did it if you wanted to re-read.
