Six sounds good! Ive started it! The prologue started strong

I dont know why, but I have never been able to fully engage with the writing style. That really bothers me, but oh well

Chapter 6

All the adults are so untrustworthy, and I keep getting worried that the way of Cole and Rubi are working is going to blow up right in front of their faces. (hide spoiler)]

I've been super busy for the last couple of days. I'm still in chapter 2. I'll get back here when I'll get to chapter 6.

Chapter 14
(view spoiler)[ I'm glad Ruby finally realized how awful she was being with Nico. I just wish she'd realized it for another reason.
Also, this is going so slow?? I have been reading the same problem between Liam and Ruby for the last 100 pages and this is getting old. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 19
(view spoiler)[This is getting better. we're finally seeing a little cohesion in the group. I'm still mad at the timing tho. This could have been easily 100 pages shorter. Why make such a big drama with Liam and Cole while a conversation could have fixed many of the problems? Both of them acted so irrationally, and it got old for me.

The deal with Clancy's Mom feels bad, I understand why Clancy is a threat, but they're basically stripping him away from himself. I know that my feeling isn't logical, but oh well.

Chapter 24
(view spoiler)[I feel so sad. MY COLEEEEEEEEEEE. NOOOOOOOOO. LIAM. POOR NICO. POOR EVERYONE. I CAN'T.

Why do they have to do this to the Reds?

Why why why. It all was so clear. Of course Clancy would have done something like that, everything was so wrong. Why why why?! (hide spoiler)]

I finally finished chapter 6.

So far I like this better than the second book too. (view spoiler)[ I feel like the second book was too similar to the first one. Ruby and her friends driving around the country searching for whatever they were searching. There have been too many happy coincidences in this book for my taste though. Such as Zu running into Liam's mom and Ruby and her crew finding Zu so easily. I mean, what are the chances? (hide spoiler)]

I also have a feeling that (view spoiler)[ the way Ruby and Cole work is going to cause problems later on in the story. They are both hiding things from their friends, and I think when it all comes out, there will be major trust issues. (hide spoiler)]

I definitely agree that (view spoiler)[ the Liam Ruby situation is getting boring at this point. I also find it pretty annoying that Ruby keeps hiding things from Liam but then she still doesn't like it when he does things without telling her. (hide spoiler)]

I'm not too happy about (view spoiler)[ Ruby going back to Thurmond but I guess it has to be done. I'm also wondering if Zu is going to start talking before the story ends. (hide spoiler)]

I found that this trilogy in general does those happy coincidences, so I guess I learned to ignore them. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[yesss, that really annoyed me as well. Like she literally exploded when Liam did something good. I understand that it was mostly recklessness, but they never gave him even a chance.

At least it was better than Nico going. He wouldn't have made it emotionally. (hide spoiler)]

I'm happy that (view spoiler)[ Zu is finally speaking and telling what happened to her. I keep forgetting she's thirteen. Somehow I always think she's ten or something. (hide spoiler)]

I've been wondering about (view spoiler)[ Ruby sleepwalking and stuff. Is she really just stressed and tired or is there more going on? Guess I'll find out. (hide spoiler)]

Okay, I finally finished this a couple of days ago.

I feel like (view spoiler)[ the story didn't really end. The ending definitely left the author a chance to continue the series. Maybe she already knew she was going to write The Darkest Legacy. (hide spoiler)]

It must have been hard (view spoiler)[ for Ruby to be back at Thurmond. The way her and the other kids were treated there was horrible. It felt to me like she was there for much longer than three days. It's also pretty awful what they did to the reds. Although, I must say I'm a little bit curious about the program they were put through. (hide spoiler)]

I'm not sure why (view spoiler)[ none of the kids realized that Clancy was able to control other people even when he was kept isolated. I mean, he controlled people at East River. Why would it be harder for him to do that in his cell? (hide spoiler)]
